  3. Review - Weather Watcher Live

    6.1.1 (Aug 7, 2009)

TWC has nothing to do with the $9.95/year subscription fee for Weather Watcher Live. The subscription will be used to cover the many costs that are involved in supporting, maintaining, and improving the product, as well as maintaining and delivering the weather content.

Weather Watcher Live was freeware since its creation, but it was by no means free for me to create and maintain it. It's not possible to create a good piece of software that is functional and reliable without putting a lot of time and effort into it. Unfortunately, time and effort can be quite costly.

Nobody is being forced to upgrade and pay the subscription fee. Weather Watcher Live has been around for a while now, so it's very easy to find older versions on the Internet. I even have the last freeware build posted in my forum.

@emanresU deriseD, please email me (Mike@SingersCreations.com) with the details of your problems. I'd be happy to work with you one-on-one to resolve them.

  4. Review - Weather Watcher Live

    6.0.0 (Nov 10, 2008)

@coover, it's out of beta now. 6.0.0 is the first official non-beta release.

@Soozy, most WeatherBug weather stations are recording the daily/monthly/yearly rainfall. If you see "N/A", then your selected weather station is not recording that information. You could e-mail WeatherBug to let them know -- they might be able to resolve the issue by contacting the weather station owner.

Undesired Username, if you would be so kind to start a forum thread listing the issues that you are still facing in the current version of Weather Watcher Live, I'd be happy to help you resolve them. Please be sure to post as much information as possible, screenshots, steps to reproduce issues that can be reproduced, etc.

I'd imagine you would be quick to change your tune if you knew exactly how many Microsoft products were directly or indirectly used by you on a daily basis. You would be a lost soul without Microsoft ;)

It's pretty amazing that people have enough free time to continuously attempt to break software.

You don't see why Google is concerned? How would you feel if someone mis-keyed your website URL by one letter, installed a nasty virus, and was left with a non-functional computer?

The problem is that Google.com already existed before this guy decided to go out and register those domain names. His intentions were obviously not legitimate.

What evidence are you looking for? All of the domain names are one letter away from Google.com. The domains he registered did not represent a company name (e.g. Google.com for Google, Microsoft.com for Microsoft, etc.), nor did the domain name have anything to do with the contents of his website. The websites all promoted the installation of spyware and/or viruses.

I don't think anything can be done about WhiteHouse.com. That website is legit, and it's not using a registered trademark, company name, etc. It seems they would have been taken down years ago if they were in the wrong. I'm surprised they haven't been bought out yet.

However, if my neighbor builds a cool new shed, that he intends to market, and I see him build it from across the street, and then I build my own just like it, did I steal it?
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If your neighbor really intends to sell the design, than you just stole the idea. You'll most likely get your pants sued off too.

Your example has nothing to do with stealing music. However, it would be a good example of stealing a trademark, patent, etc.
