  1. Review - nVIDIA ForceWare Drivers for Windows 2000/XP (32-bit)

    81.95 Official (Nov 22, 2005)

    # "Download Accelerator" utilities should be disabled when downloading any drivers.

    # Do not run virus protection software in the background while installing the drivers. This prevents the driver from configuring itself properly.

    # Before installing new drivers make sure you uninstall all NVIDIA display drivers from the Windows Control Panel. Browse to the Start Menu > Windows Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and search for "NVIDIA Windows Display Drivers" or "NVIDIA Display Drivers" and select remove.

100% block on all removable mass storage, don't install this if you want to use USB Mass Storage devices :)

  5. Comment - Google's value proposition for Chrome OS: Should we feel insulted?

    Beta 1 (Nov 23, 2009 - 5:37 PM)

I'm looking forward to the google laptop... as software developer, my desktop is powerhouse. Because of my technical background I'm aware of the benefits of anti-virus and UserAccount Control, System Restore, Windows 7 (that just cost me 200 for upgrade!) and I've been using Firefox ... although lately Chrome... and I perform regular backups to my home NAS... all that for my laptop and my wife's laptop... which we only use for browsing!! I look forward to the simplicity and dependability suggested by doing away with (at least on our laptops) all this supporting goop when google OS becomes available. YIIPPPEEE

  6. Comment - Apple Sued Over iTunes

    Beta 1 (Jan 6, 2005 - 12:17 PM)

I've made serveral iTunes purchases and have had no problem getting the songs onto my mp3 CDs... listenting to one now, actually. Maybe Thomas would like iTunes itself to burn to CD? Wait, it does that... oh, he wants iTunes to support all the flavors of mp3 devices like MUSICMATCH does? Next, someone will sue MUSICMATCH for not supporting *.m4p files.
