3.1 Beta 3 (Mar 18, 2009)
Djucan & others having difficulties. It's normal to take longer the first time it starts as it checks extensions, converts old profile etc.
Also the memory usage is better than almost any other browser. Getting better even.
It's sad that fanboys give it 1 star, because they can - without any merit. Someone who doesnät know that much about software may even take your "review" into consideration.
With B3 they have fixed some of the annoyances from previous beta, like last tab closing the browser with it, problems deleting items from history etc. I haven't installed all the normal extensions, so can't comment about the speed reliably yet. looks like a solid 5
0.10 Beta 2 (Feb 13, 2009)
@fredreed
Windows has all the libraries built into the installer, most linux distros already have the required libraries also. So in most cases there's no extra libraries the user needs to install.
I could not find changelog for the B2 but hopefully html export has been fixed at least.
1.9 Build 13485 Alpha (Nov 27, 2008)
pfg, you are an idiot.
Nobody knows how much code changed after it was sold. I doubt very much that much if anything have changed as it's still performing well and the size of the binary hasn't changed. So instead of still spreading your misinformation, would just stop using the software. Or if you really had proof of "snooping" or "spying" just present those facts.
4.3pre16 Beta (Nov 20, 2008)
roj: use the following to start it up: (with modifications to your specific environment) there's some issues with paint speed, but this at least cures it for me:
E:\Progs\base\Java\jdk1.7.0\bin\javaw.exe -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -Xms64M -Xmx192M -jar "e:\progs\jedit.jar" -reuseview
Quality work as always, plugins enhance it the same way Firefox, TB etc. NIce
8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) Alpha 6 (Sep 20, 2008)
Diamond: Why you would think Linux is not ready for home use? Ubuntu & all the other Linuxes are safer for the average Joe's. They come with more and more useful programs pre-installed than windows etc. IF gaming isn't the requirement Linux is better choice than Windows - especially if it comes installed with the computer.
A6 not huge changes for me, keeps getting better as expected.

The form factor is not the most important thing in this device, it's the fact that first time there's a linux in a mobile phone that is not crippled in any way. Android doesn't have xserver for example.
You are free to do whatever you want with the hardware, you can even put Debian into it (eventually, sooner than later probably).
It looks nice, even though a little on the thick side, based on the videos the UI looks more than ok. Also it has received almost only positive feedback since few days so I think Nokia has something special in it's hands.

While it's true MS supports older version, it's because they have to. There are so many old version still in use which are not going to be updated. Why do you think they let IE7 to be auto updated on illegal XP's? Because the IE6 installations are still in majority and they have to keep patching it even if it's a pain in the butt for them.
He should have said: "You know we used to make so many crappy versions of IE and tied it to Windows and now we can't make people upgrade and therefore have to kepp patching all those crappy versions. But you know, I tell you it's a good thing!"

Hmm, I disabled all styles and I saw the page exactly as the person who made it meant?

I thought wee were talking about html pages?
Movielink wasn't interested in my business so I think they are not interested in customers who are using other browsers than IE either.
And if you base your (or you think someone will) browser choice on such sites (selling mosquito related stuff, small accounting firm in Dallas?) there must be something wrong.

People with argument "Firefox doesn't work with a webpage" newer give an example when asked. Can you give an example (or more because you say you have many such sites) where Firefox doesn't work. I bet one näkkileipä that you don't.
