  1. Review - eBoostr

    3.0 Build 457 Beta (May 13, 2009)

    @roj:
OK, I can waste $40 on this or spend the $40 on REAL RAM.
And I should buy this why?
THREE stars for a gimmick of dubious value.

Uh it isnt meant to work as substitute ram, it is meant to speed up things that are usually loaded from disk by reducing some of those drastically and in fact it will work better if you get more ram for it. For example my photoshop takes 23 seconds loading after a reboot, with eboostr it's reduced to 4-6 secs instead helping me doing what i want faster. If you have ram to waste use it on a bigger memory cache for eboostr it is really worth it.

I love the way eboostr 3 lets me give priority to apps and specify how much ram or space in flash drives to use unlike the windows Vista solution.

  2. Review - Mozilla Firefox (v3.5) for Windows

    3.5 Beta 4 (Apr 29, 2009)

I like the beta a lot, seems faster than it was before and still keeping the old stuff working.

The correct way to try a beta and still use your outdated addons would be getting the "nightly tester tools" addon and using "overwrite all compatibility" for the ones that didnt got directly working at least until the addon gets an update.

  3. Review - K-Lite Codec Pack 64-bit

    2.1.0 (Mar 24, 2009)

Great with MPC HomeCinema 64bit, rating 4/5 because I'd like it to work with quicktime/realtime in MPC-HC but apparently it doesnt.

  4. Review - µTorrent for Windows

    1.7.5 Build 4602 (Oct 19, 2007)

just type "%appdata%\utorrent" in the "Run" app, it is where it saves

uTorrent is a very efficient bittorrent client, gets the job done, gives nice speeds, low resources needed, even the download size is small, stable always (at least for me but i've heard people having some issues, however the utorrent forums helps tons and you cna get ur problems solved almost right away).

I used to dislike the super-seeding settings seems that got fixed some time ago and I cant thank enough for it.

Even after all this time where it has been called adware, spyware, trojan, sold out and whatever noone has actually seen any of that happening and i dont think they will ever show any proof of utorrent being a scam.

I give it a 5 since is not always u find a program that gives u all you need from it, for so small file size and for so little PC needs and running so stable, wish more apps were done like this.

  5. Review - CDex

    1.70 Beta 2 (Aug 8, 2006)

Always so great, i thought this was abandoned after 1.60 was released, my mistake for not checking more often, always good to see it is still being developed :)
