  1. Review - Microsoft Zune Theme for Windows XP

    1.0 (Nov 3, 2006)

the theme seems a bit large to me like the window borders and all take up lots of space, it's definitely better than luna but i've been using vistaxp by kol for some time now and it's grown on me

  2. Review - SmartFTP (x86)

    2.0.996.17 (May 1, 2006)

i have never found a better ftp client than this one

this WOULD get a 5 but there are constant updates to the program (bugfixes) and upgrading is not automatic - if this program has automatic update checks and downloads and installs (so basically hands free for the user, like firefox or something) it would be the perfect ftp client
aside from that, no complaints, this is by far the best available ftp client

  3. Review - WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos Patch for Windows

    1.20 (Dec 9, 2005)

i rated this 5 based on the game, not the patch, i dont know anything about the patch cuz i just started playing (during this patch)

i wanted to review this because i wanted to point out that this patch has been out for a WHILE, im wondering why it didnt show up here until now?

  4. Review - Vuze for Windows

    2.3.0.6 (Nov 23, 2005)

azureus is a great program, the best i've come accross so far, bitcommet has a horribly annoying interface and i havent tried µTorrent. anyways many people seem to be complaining about azureus being very resource consuming, now granted i am on a REALLY over qualified computer and dont notice much of anything to that effect i investigated and saw azureus only takes up 21 megs of my system memory.

my only complaint (that personally affects me) with this program is this; yes it is very rich in features, but i think it's too rich, you really dont need THAT much crap in the program, i think a slimmed down version would be nice - this complaint might explain the resource issue many others have.

anyways this IS above all a great program, and i would strongly recommend it to the moderate and experienced bit torrent users (for someone who is new i recommend the basic bit torrent client though)

  5. Review - Aim 6.0 Ad Hack

    5.0 Beta 6 (Sep 28, 2005)

this program is very effective at what it does but i agree with the previous comment that switching off aim is a much better way to free yourself from common annoyances like ads or addons in regular messenger programs
gaim is nice and all as well, but i prefer trillian, i know for mac there is adium which i hear is good, try looking around, you'll find more than just this

  6. Comment - Google Chrome, now minus the 'beta' part

    5.0 Beta 6 (Dec 11, 2008 - 8:31 PM)

take note that the chromium nightly builds generated by the buildbot http://build.chromium.or...apshots/chromium-rel-xp/ have been passing acid3 for quite some time now. google chrome's 1.0.154.36 release does not pass.

  7. Comment - Microsoft to Issue 7 Security Patches

    5.0 Beta 6 (Jul 10, 2006 - 1:32 PM)

IE7 Beta is not a new program, it is a new version of an existing program, and thus when you install it, it replaces your old version (IE6) with itself
so you are still using the same product, it is still Internet Explorer, the difference is the version number

if the program wont run at all, try reinstalling it, or uninstalling and then doing a fresh install

  8. Comment - 'Vista' Name May Have Trademark Issues

    5.0 Beta 6 (Jul 26, 2005 - 7:40 AM)

not the ones microsoft uses, they arent usually the cream of the crop
thus windows media player and other normally pre packaged software is not included in versions of windows xp sold outside of the usa by default

  9. Comment - 'Vista' Name May Have Trademark Issues

    5.0 Beta 6 (Jul 26, 2005 - 7:37 AM)

apple made the same mistake with tiger

  10. Comment - 'Vista' Name May Have Trademark Issues

    5.0 Beta 6 (Jul 26, 2005 - 7:36 AM)
