  1. Review - MSN Messenger for Windows

    7.5.0322 (Dec 19, 2005)

MSN messenger sucks !!!! big time .... Yahoo is better ... also the MSN messenger for Macintosh is very pathetic as it does not have Voice chat or Video chat ... I feel Microsoft should develop better MSN messenger for Windows / Macintosh OS X / Linux operating systems with the same enhanced features so that people can use MSN in all Operating systems which would bring people closer together .....

  2. Comment - Apple Introduces Intel-Based Mac Pro

    7.5.0322 (Aug 8, 2006 - 12:50 AM)

I feel that Mac destop computers are becoming very expensive ... but considering that Apple makes reliable and good computers ... not mention the awesome operating system Mac OS X Tiger ,that is immune to the viruses and adwares that affect PC computers ... also Mac OS X Tiger has advanced features tthat Windows does not have for the next few years .....plus one can dual boot to Windows XP if you really want to .... actually Apple builds computers with a higher performance even though some say that the graphics card is not on the higher end the Apple computer engineers have optimised their system for high performance on these machines and if you run Windows XP on MacBook PRO one can see that Windows runs faster than on regular PC's ... the bottom line is that Mac computers are a bit more expensive compared to regular PC 's like Dell or HP with the same specs but remember you get to run both Apple OS X Tiger and also dual boot to Windows XP if you need ... in other words two for the price of one !!! the choice is yours .....

    Small town boy reboots Microsoft

    GC Shekhar

    Chennai, August 6, 2006

He'd wanted to be the next Dhanraj Pillai, but the vista that destiny opened up for A Mahesh led to greener pastures in the world of technology.
The 24-year-old from small town Tamil Nadu has created a software that will add considerable muscle to Vista, Microsoft's brand new operating system due for launch next year.
In all probability, Vista will incorporate Mahesh's creation, which is an image browser, image editor, web browser, system tools and disk manager rolled into one.
In fact, Microsoft has already validated and awarded the product BETA2 iBRO.NET a patent protection certificate.
This means anyone may make use of Mahesh's product using the validation key but would need to pay Microsoft a royalty a part of which would reach this shy lad from Palayamkottai in southern Tamil Nadu.
The first member of his family to reach the post-graduate level, Mahesh developed the BETA2 iBRO.NET as the fifth-year project for his integrated M Sc course in computer science. He chose Vista's developer platform, where individuals are invited to contribute features for Vista.
"For sheer conceptualisation and acumen, his creation shows enormous scope and maturity. It's a full fledged tool that would not only remove deficiencies in Vista but add never-seen features in the OS," explained Dr Krishnan, professor of computer science at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, who helped fine tune Mahesh's creation.
For example, why a computer hangs remains a mystery to most. But Mahesh's product can display the reasons. It can also optimise the download speed of a broadband connection when needed.
Unlike other OS, it can also display properties of all the drives in the computer simultaneously. "Before Vista is launched, I plan to add more features to make my product more comprehensive," said Mahesh, whose father is a retired peon.
"Such a product would take a team of at least 10 people in a top IT company months to develop. But for a student from a rural background to do all this in just 5 months on his own is amazing," observed N Chokkan, a columnist on computer.
Mahesh, who will soon join IBM at Bangalore, is unfazed by the recognition and remains grateful to his parents and R Panneerselvam, chairman of his school who waived his fees for the five-year course.

Mac OS X Tiger is the world's most advanced Operating system .... is cool to use .... has plenty of applications for home and business use including webdesigns and photography and film editing ... Apple computer is the only platform Americans have as Apple has research institute for computers in USA ...the other Bloodline IBM computers which has research facilities from which the platform for PC ' s that people use [ Dell , Acer , Gateway , Emachines , Sony , Toshiba , etc ] all use the platform based on IBM computers research .... until last year it was American .. due to business deals that IBM computers and their research facilities now belong to LENOVO of CHINA !!! that all the effort and innovation was gifted away to CHINA is a SHAME !!!

APPLE COMPUTERS have their COMPANY and Research centers AND PLATFORM - AMERICAN ...
I belive that the company and their research should be supported .... FACE the reality that all those die hard PC users boast about their PC'S would not get far in the race as the platform they would use in their computers
would have to come from LENOVE - IBM Chinese !!! I would prefer to support MAC computers all the way ...

WINDOWS XP out of my rooms window forever ever ever ... I now use XANDROS DESKTOP Linux Operating system with Firefox loaded ...SAFE , SECURE AND FAR MORE EFFICIENT THAN wINDOWS xp OPERATING SYSTEM ....... Of course I have Crossover codeweavers and a lot of good applications in it and do not have the neccessity to rely again on Windows XP !!! Goodbye ......
