  1. Review - Microsoft .NET Framework (v3.0)

    3.0 Service Pack 1 (Aug 11, 2008)

Tried to install this 3.0 SP1. Says 3.0 SP1 is incompatible with Vista. So I assume thats an XP only release. 3.5 is installing though.

  2. Comment - Our love/hate relationship with Microsoft: What happens now?

    3.0 Service Pack 1 (Oct 23, 2009 - 6:11 PM)

Well the Windows 7 built on Vista kernel really means. there's not a whole lot different from Vista and 7. It'll be another Windows 2000 vs Windows XP moment. Which those two are basically the same thing. (with some stupid OS called ME in the middle.)

  3. Comment - Our love/hate relationship with Microsoft: What happens now?

    3.0 Service Pack 1 (Oct 23, 2009 - 6:04 PM)

Still a love/hate. Love Windows Vista Business. Never crashes, it's not a memory hog, and of course I always shut of UAC. Windows 7 crashes, is a memory hog and can't quite turn off UAC.

Always looked forward to the next Windows. but 7 is the first one I might want to avoid. It's like a downgrade from Vista. Rather keep my Vista.

  4. Comment - No, Windows 7 isn't slower than Vista, even at booting up

    3.0 Service Pack 1 (Oct 18, 2009 - 8:17 PM)

Booting Windows 7 is faster than vista, however rebooting windows 7 is about the same as Vista. Forever. Takes forever to shut everything down. Probably now Windows fault, but programs still aren't up to par with Windows Vista let alone 7 . So my opinions haven't changed. You'll switch to Windows 7 maybe if you have XP but you probably won't switch if you didn't have a problem with Vista.

  5. Comment - Blockbuster gains ground in rental kiosk turf war

    3.0 Service Pack 1 (Sep 17, 2009 - 10:11 PM)

If Blockbuster kiosks added blu ray now that would kill Redbox. That said, wonder what Walmart will do with some of their blu boxes. Basically our local walmart colored the RedBox machine blue to match Walmart's color. Frankly I'd think Redbox would be peeved at that but oh well.

  6. Comment - Without the fastest JavaScript, can Opera 10 RC still lay claim to speed?

    3.0 Service Pack 1 (Aug 26, 2009 - 7:55 PM)

you might not care about , but hey something to do. Chrome is still faster but that's because it's bare bones. Opera is second fastest. IE way too far behind. my Flock is being a pain in the a**. Mostly with twitter. Not sure why. And thats the latest update with Flock (a social version of Firefox) But Opera has been the best browser to download with bar none. nobody else touches it unless you have an addon and nobody beats Opera in mouse gestures. Sure I have a plugin for it on firefox, but it's not precise.
