"While a victory for those that oppose such levies, the decision is disappointing on at least one level. As we reported in September, the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA) withdrew its support for the iPod Tax once it realized that a legal argument could be made that such levies would give Canadians broad non-commercial rights to copyrighted materials. In short, some believed that the levy would essentially legalize P2P, and the CRIA didn't like the chances of that becoming common opinion."

"In a recent survey of HDTV owners by NPD Group, a full 73% were satisfied with the picture quality provided by upconverted DVDs for them to become too interested in a high-definition disc player of either format"
Isn't this HD format war a settled issue for the next 18 months with the consumers picking upcoverting technology as the winner.
I would be more interested in what happens down the road with CH-DvD....a market block that size that is being forced to adopt a single solution has to have a impact on everyone else.
