How's about some objective reporting... not that I'm faulting this author who picked the story up...
There are 50 AG's so after 504 days 72% chose not to object. There are 100 Senators so after 504 days 92% had no issues. There are 435 house members so 84% having not objected, apparently agree with this merger.
Face it people, the only only people objecting is the NAB who is trying to kill satrad to protect their 6 billion in advertising revenue. The NAB spend billions to lobby people like John Kerry, Clair McCaskill, Dorgan, Brownback, and Leahy. See the connection?
The people have spoken and support this merger. The FCC five are not stupid or immoral people they see the value that satrad adds to those in rural areas... they know the value of satrad if we have another 9/11. They know that satrad needs their support for an open arena and to minimize media control.
They know who pays their performers and it's not the NAB is it?
Have a little faith in the FCC. Tate, Adlestein, Copps and McDowell will do the right thing for us.

This is why you should never vote for A Dem. They can't help being anti-business.

Today is day 500 since the intent to merge was announced. Regardless of your stance on this merger, pro or con, here's the letter I sent to the FCC that sums it up for me!
FCC Chairman and Commissioners,
As a student of history, it’s ironic that we approach the Independence holiday waiting for word on a merger that was proposed more than 500 days ago. Honoring our founding fathers and this nation reminds us of the conviction, the courage and the wisdom it took to do the right thing despite the political pressures and personal risk of the day.
These were men and women of strength who accepted the responsibilities as well as the rights of their office.
The examples of a Washington, Madison or a Jefferson are lost in the politics of these times. The principles of institutions like this FCC are ruled not by the will or benefit of the people, but too often by the self-serving fortunes of those entrusted. I’m embarrassed for you five FCC leaders. I’m embarrassed for the America that both encourages and condones the politicizing and deliberate procrastination before public service.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many are not aware that FCC Commissioners take the oath of office by pledging that they will support the Constitution of the United States of America. At this Fourth of July, and regardless of your stance on this merger, do you see the principles of our Constitution and the spirit of our founders represented by the actions of these five leaders?
Kerry is disgusting.
$4.50 gas, kids dying in a made-up war, the market in turmoil, jobs tanking, people going sick without insurances yet he has the time to thrice lobby the FCC for something fully out of his arena and jurisdication.... why?
Nab Money. Pure and simple!
Ask the Senators how much they received from the NAB over the last three years. These Senators are pond-scum on a good day.
The best Government your Money can buy!
