  2. Review - Orbit Downloader

    2.1.5 (Jul 26, 2007)

I only just isolated the full screen exit problems I was having to OrbitDownloader and they've fixed it!! Yay, I can keep using it!!!

    Awesome app!

  3. Review - Ultimate Boot CD Full

    4.0.3 (Apr 11, 2007)

Absolutely love this project and I know this CD will rock as much as previous versions. Also note that if you have the ISO file, you can get the delta files below all the mirrors on the homepage. That will allow you to simply patch your existing ISO.

Lusono: Some of us are behind corporate firewalls that do not allow non-standard ports to be used. Therefore, we are forced to bombard the servers. I'll just wait a few days to let the feeding frenzy die down.

  4. Review - PSPad editor

    4.5.3 Build 2255 Beta (Feb 12, 2007)

Initially, I was overwhelmed by the capability of this application. Once I mastered it, I loved it. Unfortunately, occasionally the app hangs when exiting.

This was likely due to the fact I always got the latest beta. Unfortunately, a clean install would always fix the issue for a short while.

Sadly, I have switched to a different editor.

  5. Review - PSPad editor

    4.5.2 Build 2217 (May 30, 2006)

When I first used this app I thought it was good but overloaded as well. However, once I uncluttered the desktop to my liking, I've found this to be a VERY powerful tool.

There are so many options that it could take forever to learn each and every one. Take your time, remove what distracts you and give it a shot.

Mick Leong: Odds are that you are missing the Lang folder. One of the disadvantages to CAB file deployment is that if you do not dump files where the program expects them, it will run it the developer's native language.

For those having problems installing and want to have an "Installer", get the Cab Installer http://www.pspad.com/files/other/pspinst.exe

  6. Comment - Up Front: Should broadband providers offer customers tiered service?

    4.5.2 Build 2217 (Jun 20, 2009 - 10:47 PM)

Regarding bandwidth usage tiers, I have several problems with this. I agree with the others that requiring providers to present their proposals sounds like overkill. I would rather see Congress encouraging more ISP start-ups to encourage competition. Many outlying suburbs of larger metropolitan areas are forced to choose between one cable provider and one DSL provider. With no competition, those providers use every opportunity to take advantage of their customers.

  7. Comment - Visual Studio 2008 released today, .NET 3.5 now available

    4.5.2 Build 2217 (Nov 20, 2007 - 11:18 AM)

    But you are not alone.

  8. Comment - EFF Sues Universal Music Over Yanked Baby Dancing Video

    4.5.2 Build 2217 (Jul 25, 2007 - 3:25 PM)

People have probably looked at other landmark cases with similar disdain. After all, I'm sure that people scoffed at suit filed by the parents of Laura Brown.

Is this case going to be as significant as Brown vs. Board of Education? Probably not... But she has the right to have her case filed.

  9. Comment - EFF Sues Universal Music Over Yanked Baby Dancing Video

    4.5.2 Build 2217 (Jul 25, 2007 - 3:14 PM)

She probably doesn't care if she gets $.01. Courts don't hear cases where Party A doesn't like what Party B did. There has to be a consequence/reward to be heard in court.

Since she hired a lawyer (and he wants to make money), she is probably acting on her lawyer's advice.

  10. Comment - Apple Plugs 25 Mac OS Security Holes

    4.5.2 Build 2217 (Apr 20, 2007 - 8:25 AM)

Kudos to Apple for patching the inevitable holes in any operating system. Since Apple keeps such a tight reign on their systems, they can produce patches faster than Microsoft.

I just wish they would stop touting themselves as superior to every other OS.
