  1. Review - Google Earth for Linux

    4.0 Beta (Jun 14, 2006)

    This software is great!
I did not notice much slowdown on my SUSE 10 system at all. Using a Geforce 5700 Ultra. However I bumped up the memory options to use 400MB of memory for cache and kept the default of 400MB of cached disk space. After these changes everything seemed faster than when I last used this on Windows. I can not say about the beta build performace on Windows but the Linux beta seemed to be faster than the V3 released build.

    Come-on, this deserves a 5!

I, and prob. many others, submitted to Google's request page for Google Earth asking for a Linux version!

I have made the switch to linux as well, but could not stand Open Office, so I run MS Office using crossover office.

  2. Review - SpeedFan

    4.04 (Apr 9, 2002)

If you have a Dell Notebook especially C810 it is excellent.
I use this to turn on the fans (100%) while it is in the docking station to ofset problems with the temperature of my HD getting 147F (No fan comes on because the trigger for the sensor is on the CPU temp which is normal)

    If I could give it a 10 I would.

    Nuff Said!

  3. Comment - DivX is coming for Blu-ray players, while PS3 could lag behind

I hope so. There is no 4GB filesize limitation with ex-FAT.

Incorrect, FAT32 maximum file size is 4GB not 2GB. Don't blame FAT32 for the 2GB limitation.

I agree that they should support NTFS.

  5. Comment - MGM Adds Catalog to iTunes Movie Store

    4.04 (Apr 11, 2007 - 12:17 PM)

"More than two million movies have now been downloaded, and Apple claims that it is the most popular movie download service on the Internet. Currently iTunes has about five million songs, 350 television shows, and over 500 million movies. "

    500 million movies?????

    (This is a Typo)

  6. Comment - Fla. Man Convicted in Huge Data Theft

You need a calulator to calulate the maximum sentences. If the sentence is not concurrent...

    5 years * 120 counts = 600 years?? (Theft)
    10 years * 2 COUNTS (Fraud)
    20 years (Obstruction)
    = 630 years total??

    $250,000 * 120 counts = 30 million??
    $250,000 *2 COUNTS = $500,000(fraud)
    $250,000 (obstruction)
    = 30,750,000 total

(Acxiom should be fined for their stupidity of not fixing a hole in their servers for 16 months)

Not that this spammer doesn't deserve it but it is clear that crimes involving money are more important (as far as the years convicts get) than crimes such as murder. It seems to speak to American Society in general.

That spoken, Levine deserves it. He made his bed hard...
