Skype has been my sole long distance carrier for at least three years now and I have had no problem.

We are living in a country where the government spent a lot of our tax money on studies of how to tax sunlight for solar several years back. With the government and big business working together they won't rest until they have regulated and stifled the net to death.

AMD could really build a powerful integrated board especially with ATI video technology.
Same could be done with audio. They make a lot more right now selling so many different flavors but I expect they will have to come out with a really good powerful integrated setup, maybe somewhat modulated.

  7. Comment - Is Vista dead in the water?

    11.5.4101 (Apr 12, 2008 - 7:12 PM)

Until the advent of ME I looked forward to each release of Windows. I started with 1.0 and couldn't wait for a new wersion of Windows since each version and updates were well thought out and they would not release a version until it was really ready. I have worked with Vista enough to know that I don't want to leave XP when it works so damn well. Some of the features are great but I find it very uncomfortable to use. Really don't know why they didn't just release a good really hyped update to XP and better serve the purpose with less work.

If North Africans would put all their expertise into something useful they would up their living standards.

  9. Comment - After backlash, Sony to drop $50 fee for not installing bloatware

I understand why they made this move but knowledgeable users will think it sounds dirty and unethical while most consumers will just take it with all the junk preloaded. Keeps people such as me busy cleaning up their machines.
