  1. Review - jv16 PowerTools 2009

    1.5.1.309 (Sep 12, 2005)

    Been using jv16 for over a year, using v1.4 atm.
    This is the only register cleaner i have ever used that does an excellent job of cleaning the registry without removing anything important by mistake. The only reason i wont be upgrade to 2005 is that i'm too used to the 1.4 GUI
    Highly recommend this program.

  2. Comment - P2P Future Darkens as eDonkey Closes

    1.5.1.309 (Sep 29, 2005 - 2:54 AM)

    The RIAA/MPAA have certainly been busy this year putting a stop to the P2P network that is robbing them and artists alike, yet they all still make massive amounts of cash and it's as easy as ever to download just about anything you want using P2P.
    What's next for the RIAA/MPAA?, shutting down DVD rentals and libraries to stop copying, maybe prosecute people for making a copy of their legally bought DVD/CD.
    Pirating cant be stopped.

  3. Comment - Study: Video Games Lead to Violent Behavior

    1.5.1.309 (Aug 23, 2005 - 2:30 AM)

    If playing video games makes you violent there's something wrong with you, not the game.
    I was involved in research for this here in the UK for several months last year. Our team found that certain teenagers would get violent after playing a video game but could also get violent if losing a game of football or even a card game. It's not a game for some but a competition.

  4. Comment - Windows AntiSpyware to Remain Free

    @wincement
    It is their own stupid fault. Stupidity is the reason why spyware, viruses etc have such a grip in the pc world but isn't the purpose of antispyware software etc to help these people?

  5. Comment - Windows AntiSpyware to Remain Free

    1.5.1.309 (Aug 14, 2005 - 11:16 PM)

    @gawd21 & wincement
    Alot of pc users using Antispyware will trust Microsoft's judgement and ignore this thus ALLOWING it to infect their pc.
    Claria is a known high risk malware threat, how can any decent antispyware program ignore it by default?

    Microsoft Antispyware now allows adware from Claria (formaly Gator) among others.

    Microsoft want to spy on YOU. Always have, always will.
    Personally i use Adaware, Spybot and Spywareblaster and Outpost as a firewall as Zonealarm is easy to disable remotely or by a virus.
