A sucker born every minute! It's great when people have so much money they'll spend it on anything. Even just something to PROVE they have money. Kinda sad actually.
Anyone want to corner this market and develop and flashing ball that says SUCKER and sell it for $500? Half the price, we'll get those that aren't SUPER rich, just moderately wealthy....
Thanks,

Five years in the Wireless Industry tells me that Skapig is correct and the consumers won't see any savings. As carriers continue to battle it out with each other, adding all you can use plans for $99, they're looking for every possible way to save money. If this gets approved, you may see a few new calling plans come out, but the average consumer won't save a dime. The Telcos, and Enterprise purchasers of PSTN (large corporations that aren't fully on VOiP yet) will see the cost savings in relatively short form.

I am honestly SHOCKED that Yahoo didn't already have this policy in place. It's in their best interest to not only keep their customer's happy, but allow them to select what they want sent to them and when. I'm willing to bet that this was an option that Yahoo was planning on rolling out BEFORE the litigation took place, so I don't think their team was caught by surprise in the least bit. Hopefully the others in the same space will take the appropriate corrective action measures without litigation becoming necessary.

I agree with PaulProgrammer. This is a bit of a sensationalist response. THE INTERNET IS GOING TO CRASH! Come on. Seriously? Yes, there were some significant holes but the sky wasn't going to fall tomorrow. I commend Kandek, he definitely earned it. I'm also happy that Cisco, Microsoft and the other companies involved worked together to get the fix distributed efficiently. Well done. Partnerships like this one is why it makes me so proud to work for a Tech company.
Well done!

Anyone surprised? Who's actually PAYING to use BitTorrent? A show of hands.... Anyone? Anyone? Didn't think so... I LOVE BITTORENT and hope it stays afloat, but I'm just not sure about its business model. I think their reply is purely an attempt to make their case stronger for acquisition. Selling out for $15 million is a far cry from what they would have received five years ago before the legal turmoil hit. Fingers crossed for them.
