  1. Review - Opera for Windows

    9.0 Build 8212 Technology Preview 2 (Feb 7, 2006)

It's a halfway decent browser but it's just not Firefox.

It doesn't render everything how it should. Some sites I have visited have had text over top of pictures and pictures over top of text.

The new ad blocking feature "Block Content" is OK but it blocks way to much or not enough. With Firefox and the Adblock extension it is perfect.

Everytime Opera comes out with a new browser version I use it and end up coming back to Firefox.

  2. Review - The Bat! Professional

    3.70.06 Beta (Jan 28, 2006)

Wow people still pay to use this heap?

  3. Review - Mozilla Firefox for Windows (v2)

    1.5.0.1 RC1 (Jan 14, 2006)

I'm happy with 1.5 just how it is.

Don't want to upgrade and make my extensions not work again.

They really need to fix the upgrades breaking extensions issue.

  4. Review - BSShutdownPC

    1.0 Beta 1 (Jan 5, 2006)

    It's fair.

The install is OK but the uninstall has what looks to be some crazy language so I just clicked "yes" hoping it meant to continue with the Uninstall.

There's no way to have it do the same thing daily until you manually kick it off yourself.

Kind of a dumb program really.

  5. Review - Messenger Plus! Live

    3.62.146 (Dec 20, 2005)

Used to be a good app. Now that you cannot use it to remove the advertisement banner it stinks.

That crap made me laugh so hard. People in the office are wondering what I'm laughing at sitting here by myself.

    I also hope it is a light-saber :D

    Yes I actually did.

Google has their hands in too much stuff. I want no part of anything Google.

Google is going to become a problem for many people in the future. Trust me ;)

    Whoopie doo.

I love how they make huge deals about stuff they are going to release and they pump it all up for nothing.

Apple did that about releasing a video ipod and I was like "who freaking cares?"

A new "device" of any kind doesn't even deserve press.

Unless it promotes time travel, can pause real life, is a light saber, etc, it's not worthy of the kind of press that this thing is getting for March 2nd.

Microsoft cannot make a device that I can hold in my hand (like a phone or something) that will change my life. As far as I'm concerned nobody can.

Has a cell phone changed my life? No. I use it but I'm not attached to it like many people are.

Things that are a big deal:

    Light bulb
    Discovering electricity
    Discovering fire
    The Automobile
    The Airplane
    The Wheel
    The Computer
    Data/Voice Networks
    The Ink Pen
    etc.....

Things that are NOT a big deal:

    Cell phones
    Airbags
    Antilock brakes
    Computer software
    PDA's and similar devices
    Wireless things
    Carpet cleaning products
    Game Consoles
    Computer games
    Video cards
    Things that cost $19.95
    etc....

    Get a grip people.

    Enough Google already.

  10. Comment - Mac OS X 10.4.5 for Intel Cracked

    3.62.146 (Feb 23, 2006 - 4:58 PM)

Because they will make more money due to the fact that their hardware stinks.

Don't you think the MacOS would be installed on more computers if people weren't forced to buy Apple hardware?

I can tell you that if I could go to Staples and buy either Windows or MacOS for my home computer I would buy the MacOS. It's cheaper too. Plus then Windows would have to be "that much" better because people would have a choice.

What if you could call Dell and order a new PC and you had a choice of either MacOS or Windows? I bet more people would choose Mac than you think. ;)

Instead of being on like 5% of the computer market they could at least have their OS be on 20% or more computers.

    To me it's a no-brainer......but then I have no brain :)
