  1. Review - AIMP

    2.5 Build 304 RC4 (Oct 8, 2008)

In comparison to AIMP, winamp looks like a pregnant cow...overladen with features I don't use.

Simply put:check it out...see if AIMP is sufficient for your player-needs...it's worth it.

  2. Review - Core Temp

    0.99.3 (Oct 8, 2008)

Please make a VISTA-Version that doesn't require administrative privileges, so it could be run from startup folder.
It's extremely annoying to get the infamous popup at every log on:

Windows has blocked some start-up programs.
Windows blocks programs that require permission to run when Windows starts.
Click here to view blocked programs

I tried to change the manifest. to no avail

  3. Review - Microsoft Virtual Earth 3D

    2.5 Beta (Jun 10, 2008)

    For all what it's worth:
Microsoft Virtual Earth 3D runs just fine with Firefox. Just restart your browser after the installation .
No need for IE !!! (that's what I like about it the most ;)
And no, it isn't stand alone program, in fact is no need for a stand alone program.
No local saving of countless MBs of maps like in Google Earth...just open the live search page in Firefox and you're on

  4. Review - Gmail Manager

    0.5.5 (May 28, 2008)

The best multi account manager for Gmail no doubt about that.
Just one question...why doesn't the update come through the usual channels like all the versions before?

  5. Review - Comodo Firewall Pro

    3.0.23.364 (May 23, 2008)

@nailzs:It's probably more likely your neighbor who can't operate his Vista correctly.
CPF runs here on 3 Vista home prem like a charm
and this version finally allows to check for updates without the need to be logged on as admin

  6. Comment - Time Warner Cable tests something like 'Powerboost'

    3.0.23.364 (Jun 25, 2008 - 6:02 PM)

At least now I know why bigger downloads in the last 2 (or so) month started to stall after coming in nicely at first.

I just wish I could get rid of TWC but apparently there is no other cable service available here

  7. Comment - Nokia to pay $314 million to German workers, $0 to government

    3.0.23.364 (Apr 10, 2008 - 9:50 AM)

I just want to know how much of that money makes it all the way into pockets of the laid off workers and how much disappears in some obscure pockets.
