Please do not say that this OS is s*** when it hasn't even came out. How can you say this is going to be a new Windows ME? Even the beta hasn't come out, how can you something like that. When I was using my Windows 98 and heard about XP, I wasn't thinking on migrating my OS to XP, because Windows 98 was very good, but I also didn't say that XP was going to be a new Windows ME. I just waited it came out, tried it, liked it and now I use it. But speaking about a thing that didn't came out, its like throwing words to the air. Wait until the final version or a Beta version very similar to the final comes out.
And quit those comments saying "Linux rules", etc.. This isn't a Linux vs Windows post. I use regularly Windows XP, Linux, Solaris and Mac Os X and these four OS have all their advantages and disadvantages.
Thank you.

I think Windows Vista is a name with a lot of meaning for this new version of Windows. As donkeko said, Vista, in Spanish and Portuguese languages means sight.
As many know, Windows Vista will bring many changes, not only on security, file systems, etc., but also on the user interface that this O.S. presents to you. AS you may see on the introductory video, they mainly focus (the true is they can't focus much more on a 1 minute video) on the user interface, that, for me, looks really pleasant. I think this name is due to all those changes in the user interface, that pretend to make it a "vista agradável" (English, "pleasant sight").
It's sad to see people here saying "Linux sucks!", "Linux rules!" and the same stuff for Windows. All O.S. have their advantages and disadvantages. This is not a Linux vs. Windows topic!
I'm ansious to see the final version of this Windows!
