3.1 Beta 2 (Dec 8, 2008)
I can't believe people buy into Mozilla's crap in the ways that they do. "A more secure and safer browsing experience", oh please sell that "crap" to someone "who refuses" to learn any better.
You can't add a bunch of extensions (I.E. Add-Ons) to "anything", without allowing a lot of places to crack the Utility.
Their selling "pie in the sky folks and your buying it". Stay faithful they'll disappoint you all eventually or you'll just "wake up". I use Firefox 3 but don't be looking for a crap load of extensions in my Browser....ha ha ha.
What bull****. I have to giggle so bad when folks talk about how secure it is. Hell there was a exploit just released to target Firefox that hides itself as a Greasemonkey script... Too Funny.
I guess 20% percent of Browser Market share was the tipping point for the Malware writer's Firefox is in their gun sites now. Enjoy your more safer browsing experience folks.... ha ha ha. Do you actually read the articles before you post the links folks.......

3.1 Beta 2 (Sep 21, 2009 - 11:22 PM)
To heck with the jumping on the Windows 7 bandwagon, anybody with some sense has already figured that one out...Ballmer wears a perpetual grin now...how could he help not...they knocked this "out of the park" for a change. But my question is why did the Author of the above article pay like 1500.00 dollars for a "Hybrid Sony Notebook" with questionable specs...and he thinks he got a "great deal" on a 13.4 inch screen. I assume portability was a factor but look what we bought for less than 1100.00 dollars and got free shipping and handling (3 day delivery too by UPS) S&H a 28.00 + value in itself.
http://www.laptopmag.com...-aspire-8930g-6448.aspx
The specs on that one are different my specs are better such as a Dual core 2.67 GHZ Intel Processors and 1 GB dedicated graphics Memory on the Nvidia 9600 GT card with turbo memory boost DDR3 and 1066 FSB plus 4 GB of DD3 standard DVD- RW oh and a 18.4 inch LED 1080p....for less than 1100.00 through www.newegg.com oh and the free upgrade to Windows 7 when it goes GA. Wait till you try to update the video drivers on that Hybrid Graphics Card...your going to "be upset".
Well that's enough chat for now....there are "deals to be had" the INTERNET is the largest repository of available information known to mankind...but you have to understand how to utilize it first.
Sony always wants too much for what they provide they may as well be Apple for goodness sake....LOL. Of course my notebook sits on a desk all day like a desktop would...call me silly.
3.1 Beta 2 (Jul 23, 2009 - 8:12 PM)
Go over here and download this PDF reader and you won't have many worries about Adobe Reader any more it will render any Adobe format PDF .... and it looks a lot better than Foxit Reader.

Stop with the pushing Mozilla Firefox crap... Mozilla is losing their edge with the "goofy stuff" they are considering pulling lately. It was suppose to be about "choices" but how can you choose if they won't support "you ultimately." (Your chosen version of Firefox to use)
http://www.computerworld...bugs_in_older_Firefox_3
Oh and seriously I don't understand why they just didn't have folks uninstall Adobe Reader... go disable the .dll file??? Get rid of it. the only Adobe you should have to run is "Flash" and you need to be running version 10+. UAC in windows Win Vista/7 stops this exploit...you XP home users, need to get "Windows 7" installed if you can fit it into your budgets. (And run it on your existing hardware)
Drive by downloads are dangerous install a third party app like "threatfire " from PC TOOLs and it should warn you in XP upgrade your Internet Explorer version to 8 (DEP) on by default
3.1 Beta 2 (Jul 7, 2009 - 12:29 PM)
Oh and by the way I'm presently running Windows 7, and most think I'm talking out my a** which I usually don't 'cause I would sound funny let alone the "smell"....ha ha ha. Stop running Older OSs if you can afford too upgrade as the Older ones get cracked more often (flaws) Exploits...etc.
3.1 Beta 2 (Jul 7, 2009 - 12:24 PM)
This exploit is "mitigated by updating" to the latest version of IE 8 if your a home user and you haven't now is the time. This exploit primarily affects Windows version XP and Windows Server 2003 and OSs (Windows older versions) 2000 etc.
It has to do with an Active X control that corrupts a Direct X control but only on older versions Of Windows not running the latest version of Internet Explorer. This would affect corporations that utilize Older versions of IE because of compatability requirements and their System Administrators should lock out the Registry Keys setting the "Kill bits".
The average home user should not attempt to "Regedit" their systems just update your browser to IE 8 and get "some sleep". Folks get all bent out of shape every time some flaw pops up. Microsoft is working on a patch but updating IE to 8 fixes this zero day crap for most Home Users.
Don't go patching just anything into your "registry ever". You could cause worst issues as you never know what other program may be broken looking for a fix.
Microsoft won't ever take responsibility for "you breaking" your registry.....you may just end up make "more work" for yourself.
3.1 Beta 2 (Dec 18, 2008 - 11:07 AM)
Wrong, do a search... look for exploiting Add-Ons for Firefox and that argument is blown out of the water. Mozilla had to change how their browser Add-Ons are checked for security...after Users were "hit"...then there's this "little",article found it most enlightening seeing how it's what I have been telling folks for a long time...
http://tech.yahoo.com/ne...curitychiefcallsitquits
Did she say "impossible???"....I think she did.
It's just super easy to pick on Internet Explorer because it's the "easy kid" on the old block you should worry less about IE and more about "Chrome" it's what's going to gobble up Firefox's market gains Google is already mobilized to grab its shares and watch what happens. "The parent is pissed at his bas**** child and likes his own better". (Chrome) Watch what happens....ha ha ha.
Gee was this crap blown all out of proportion one day before Microsoft released the patch...I could see if they had been talking about it for weeks but no it had barely been a week. It was on TV...oh the flamers...ha ha ha.
