  1. Review - SkyIDE

    Beta 8 (Nov 20, 2006)

    Way to go!

I like free IDEs, since that seems to be where innovation comes from anymore with the commercial IDEs (someone has to do something first).

I haven't tried this yet, but can it do Windows Mobile compilation?

  2. Review - Skinny Clock

    1.0 Beta 2 (Jul 20, 2006)

It's neat. However without a good variety in color this is difficult to see when you have a dark background. I like the direction, but I ned more color options, for a dark or light background (custom color would be great).

Its only beta so I hope the author adds a bit more so I can bump up my rating, but its unusable for me right now.

  3. Comment - US Chamber: Fake site by Yes Men not a parody but a fraud

    1.0 Beta 2 (Oct 28, 2009 - 12:08 PM)

    psycros - jail time? Seriously?

Ok, for people jumping to some lame-o conclusion, this could be simply a mess-up. I mean we gave a free pass to the guy running the treasury for not paying his taxes. I'm going for the benefit of the doubt that they rushed putting up a site without thought.

Calling government figures liars is hardly a crime, unless the truth is now a crime to display in public.

  4. Comment - Flashback 1990: The debut of Windows 3.0

    1.0 Beta 2 (Oct 24, 2009 - 12:45 PM)

    Great article!

Thanks for the memories :) I was just starting college when 3.1 came out, and had to have a PC with Windows on it (cause it looked cool :)). I remember my first Windows 3.1 application I wrote, the whole aspect of programming was awesome, event loops, window messages, memory spaces :) I was honestly I lot happier with Windows NT and its memory management, but yes, 3.0 started it all :)

  5. Comment - McCain's 'Real Stimulus' to go head-to-head against FCC's 'net neutrality'

    1.0 Beta 2 (Oct 24, 2009 - 12:33 PM)

I don't like Obama at all, and I honestly think McCain is pretty out there too. While we wouldn't be talking about adding a trillion dollar debt for health care if McCain were in office, I'm positive he was only marginally better than Obama at the time we had an option. Since then Obama is making Bush look like Einstein.

This is a stupid argument for this particular issue, I don't like the FCCs way either, its even worse. McCain needs to watch Spiderman and learn "just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should do something". :)

McCain, Pelosi, Reid, and Obama have no clue. Vote em all out!!

  6. Comment - Mozilla designer suggests Windows 'browser ballot' is preferential to Apple

    1.0 Beta 2 (Oct 16, 2009 - 7:31 PM)

Must we consider everyone that uses a computer a complete idiot! For people that don't think they are as smart, they'll likely ask someone they trust. This is stupid, any order is fine.

Why doesn't the US version have this? Cause our government is paid off by these people (left or right both are equally bad). Oh well...

  7. Comment - Expect 22.8% performance boost from next week's Firefox 3.6 beta

    1.0 Beta 2 (Oct 10, 2009 - 6:16 PM)

On the IE 8 point, I agree drop IE 7 out of here and use IE 8 as the standard. Its the most used browser and the only browser that really matters. Yes, we can do the "maths" (I like that comment, it was funny but no offense is meant), but IE 7 has no relevance.

Also, I'm using Chrome now for browsing based on these tests, thanks! It still has a few kinks, but its incredibly fast.

Question about the tests: Are there any tweaks your including, or do you run the default installation? I'd also like to know the low-level network settings your using (ie. MTU, etc) just in case thats having a bearing on any browsers.

    Keep up the good work!
