  1. Comment - Sony BMG Pulling Controversial DRM

    (Nov 13, 2005 - 12:55 AM)

I am not impressed with the overall quality of Sony products. To be fair, I will concede that their VAIO line of computers is reasonably decent. Other than that, in my opinion the performance level of Sony products is at the low end of the scale. Even their renowned Playstation has proven to be less than durable. I went through 3 Playstations and am currently on my 2nd PS2.
The sound quality of Sony audio components is comparable to great brands such as "K-Pro" and "Valu-King". Sony is to Marantz and Denon as what MD 2020 and Thunderbird are to Dom Perignon.

Having said that, Sony would be wise to rethink this arrogantly agressive strategy of infecting our computers and other electronic devices with their immoral cybervermin. These activities are a disgusting slap in the face to all consumers, and should in fact prove to be illegal, at least in a court not affected by corporate corruption.

The unions (and I use the term extremely loosely) should just be thankful that anyone is watching that stuff. They need to wake up and see that many people find that watching The Weather Channel is more entertaining. It does appear (as stated in the article) that the actors are being exploited, but it is the unions to whom they pay their dues, that are exploiting them and getting rich off of their performing talents.

  3. Comment - Symantec Ups Software Renewal Prices

    (Oct 17, 2005 - 7:13 AM)

If Symantec thinks that people will be falling all over themselves to pony up the extra $$$ for their outdated solutions, they are clearly suffering from a severe case of MYDOOM2. By the time that Norton had figured out that a "browser helper object" could actually be harmful, Lojack for browsers was already invented. It's as if they are still trying to use Sean Connery in the latest James Bond film. At least they finally did realize that spyware really is a problem after all. I'm sorry Norton, but you should have figured that out about two "007"s ago.

  4. Comment - Microsoft Settles with Real for $761m

    Lets Get Real

Oh well fellow Superpass subscribers, there goes our 10 free songs per month. Now that RealOne isn't hurting financially it's probably going back to songs for a nickel a note. Goodbye buffet, hello a la carte.

  5. Comment - New Software Developed to Combat P2P

    (Sep 24, 2005 - 4:00 AM)

I don't see why all you non-wealthy people can't understand how these things work. When you contribute garbage truckloads of money to the campaign funds of a strategic number of elected officials, then you too will be able to have the legislative and judicial systems biased in such a way as to make sure that you will attain even greater wealth. Until then, I suggest that you should go listen to your FM radio stations. At least that won't cost you anything...for now.
