  1. Comment - Xbox 360 Top Console in September

    (Oct 20, 2007 - 12:16 PM)

    Like who?

Monster Hunt, Capcom is the only game I can think that springs to mind.

Developers are justing getting to grips with the PS3's power. Take a look at Gran Turismo 5 Prologue demo on Japanese playstation store, or the Ratchet And Clank Future demo. Both AAA rated titles.

  2. Comment - Xbox 360 Top Console in September

    (Oct 20, 2007 - 9:06 AM)

Twisting the spin the other way:

Sony in total still sold more consoles in the US last month than Microsoft. And before people say ‘the psp and ps2 dont count’ of course they do. You are only saying they dont count because Microsoft dont have a handheld and they f****d up the Xbox or they would still be selling it. Its not Sony and Nintendo’s fault Microsoft dont have a good enough range of consoles to compete with them.

Sony and Nintendo are pissing on Microsoft from a great height even with Halo boosting their sales.

US September console sales by manufacturer:

    Nintendo - 996,800
    Sony - 618,500
    Microsoft - 527,800

Japanese September console sales by manufacturer:

    Sony - 613,623
    Nintendo - 413,061
    Microsoft - 10,574

So the total console sales in those 2 regions for September are:

    Nintendo - 1,409,861
    Sony - 1,232,123
    Microsoft - 538,374

And that’s in the month that Microsoft released their biggest game and spent ridiculous amounts of money plugging it. Sony and Nintendo are vastly more popular with gamers than Microsoft. That is hard undeniable fact.

In the UK, the Ps3 is now outselling the 360, DESPITE Halo3.

  3. Comment - New Blu-ray Features Freeze Older Players; Updates Coming

    (Oct 7, 2007 - 2:59 AM)

Microsoft lied about their problems for 18 months, and only got caught when everyone dumped their stocks in the 360 division.

I don't beleieve there are stil idiots out there that thinks the PS3 does not have games. It's got plenty, and certainly enough units out there in use to gague reliability.

The PS1/PS2 problems are very small compared to 360 problems. Playstation have over 200 million consoles out there, of course Google will bring up problems. Even a million fauly PS2 consoles, is less than 1% of production. Compare that to 30% and rising of failed 360's It's likely to reach 90% eventually.

  4. Comment - Sony Debuts Cheaper PS3 in Europe, Without Backwards Compatibility

    (Oct 6, 2007 - 3:43 PM)

    1/ I am not Steve.

2/ It's a good decison. £299 for a Blue ray player and media client is awesome value for money.

It's £100 more than a crappy 1080i Toshiba HD DVD player, but the PS3 does so much more, and so much better.

Nice try. Tax in UK is 17.5%, the US price is PLUS tax. In addition, there is 10% import duty.

nearly 30% of the cost of not down to Sony, it's claimed by Eurocrats.

Still if a PS3 at £299 is a bad deal. a 360 for the same price, that fails every other week, and needs hunderds of pound of extras to make it even remotely function, must be a dire deal.
