Why buy movies on disk when you can just pay & download them instantly and store hundreds off movies on your soon to be terabyte HDD's in the not very distant future.
Movie stores will soon be obsolete in 1st world countries that have high speed net access, the thing you'll have to worry about is not what media player you have, but will it support the stupid DRM systems that keep appearing to stop you doing what you want with what you've bought.
eg. My drive can play every media in the world, but it doesnt support that new DRM from [COMPANY] so that movie I just paid to download does'nt play!
or
I just corrupted my security key file on my HDD, so now I cant play any of the movies I paid for!
or
The company that invented my DRM has just gone bankrupt and I corrupted my key file, so every movie I paid for in the last 5 years can never be played again because I can't get a new key to play them!

Kinda reminds me of that image of Pres. Bush on that navy boat with the big 'Victory' sign (or whatever it said) behind him!
Yet the war still goes on, soldiers still dying, oil prices have gone through the roof, the world suffers.
I can image the RIAA cheif with the 'P2P Contained!' sign behind him, yet RIAA still looses money, musicans ditch the RIAA todo distribution of their music through the internet companies that have a clue about todays youth, while the RIAA slowly goes crawling down a plug hole like a dying c***roach...

its got nothing todo with the lawsuits or education, its got todo with some actual 'legal' companies actually starting up and providing people with what they've wanted for a long time!
Instant music downloads! for many years it was quicker and easier to download an illegal copy than to have to drive to a store and pay $$$ for a CD with 20 plus songs when you only wanted one!
Now finally some 'intelligent' (non RIAA) people are figuring out people will pay for the same service instead of illegaly getting it, as long as its still as fast and convenient.
RIAA are just pissing people off and not helping anyone get what they truly want or need!

How to googleize someone, put all their personal details onto a web page thats index by google!
Then you can make a TV show with a hidden camera and jump out and say 'You've been Googled!'
Maybe google can make a fridge/freezer that index the products/ingredients you have inside, my own googleized fridge! (Now, should I patent that idea so in 10 years time I can sue some guy who does something similair? or is that only a US thing that seems to happen daily)

The world is just getting so overly paranoid!
Does the state department make all its employees take off all electronic parts from their bodies and strip every time they enter the building? Who knows, maybe that chineese made watch on their hand might have a GPS transmitter or something, or maybe the chineese zipper on their trousers could have some hidden transmitter.
