   @alo23 ... you don't know what your talking about, the K-Lite codec pack is the most comprehensive codec pack available, the guys who put it together know their stuff, I've used it for years without problems or conflicts so if you had to format your drive your system is probably borked, not the codec pack!

   COMODO = I got curious results using this firewall regarding a suspect file "dwmapi.dl" seems like many others did too if you google "dwmapi.dl" (notice the extension is .dl) anyway the problem disappeared as soon as I uninstalled COMODO.
   
   Maybe I'll give this Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall a shot!

   After installing SP3 the seek noise from my hard drive went up noticably and that was after defragging the drive. If you have SP2 with all critical updates then you don't need the SP3 update, and for those who think that SP3 will somehow make your system faster ... It won't!

   I've used this for ages and recommend it to anyone. Although the updates do come thick & fast with this app. I'm using v5.7.5 Pro at the moment which works perfectly with both IE6 & firefox, so I see no need to update unless this beta offers a big much improvement.
