I installed, the uninstalled Silverlight. It's an Adobe Flash wanna be. It doesn't support H.264 vid codec, browser only and development must take place on MS Windows. Mac users might have a problem with that.
3.5 RC2 (Jun 19, 2009)
TP, this is not the ideal solution, but it is a solution. Take one of your addons, like Save Image in Folder 1.2.6. Use IE to download the .xpi file. Unzip this file. Open "install.rdf" and change MaxVer to 3.5. Rezip all files back and make sure extension is .xpi. Using FF, File, Open and open the xpi file. Installation will proceed normally for the addon mentioned above (I just tested it). Your mileage will vary.
3.5 RC1 (Jun 16, 2009)
3.5b99 is running flawlessly. Much faster, accepts most add-ons, resolves pages nicely... I was hoping Mozilla would counter the speed of Google Chrome and it looks like they have. Bravo!
Release Candidate 1 (RC) (May 8, 2009)
On my test machine I loaded Ubuntu, which installed flawlessly. I REALLY wanted Win 7 to work. I installed from image and it looked promising - up until the point where it couldn't find a partition to install on. My question is why can Ubuntu find the partition, but not Win 7? I'd still like to test Win 7, but don't have a lot of time to invest in troubleshooting. It's sweet when "it just works."

They can afford to give these away for free. They make a fortune on the games sold, extra hardware, etc.

LOL - Yes, Verizon needs the iPhone and the BlackBerry Bold. Let's get with it!
Release Candidate 1 (RC) (Apr 11, 2008 - 10:27 PM)
I had Vista installed on a test machine (dual core, 4GB, extremely fast video card, etc) and when my main machine had a hardware failure, I put the test machine into production. It was slow, would hang, and of course the biggest problem was drivers. I had to uninstall Vista and install XP. So now I have one station with Linux and one with XP. I have no plans to upgrade to Vista now. I find it hopeful that some people here have had success with SP1. I know XP has a little rocky start, but I don't recall if it was as rocky as Vista. Of course eventually we will have to migrate, but not now.
