You got it all wrong, ME didn't follow Windows 2000, ME followed Windows 98. XP followed Windows 2000, as the NT kernel. So, in this case, Vista=2000, and Win7 = XP. Thats what I and many expect and hope.
Don't get "Follow" and "timeline" confused. ME was 98 + Plug and Play bonus... and all we got was BONEintheASS

PC is correct on this, why do we all feel entitled to everything. If YOU actually created anything, wouldn't YOU feel entitled to keep it protected? I hate DRM just like everyone else, but at least I understand why they have it. No complaints here really, I've enjoyed my life with technology, and quite happy with things the way they are. We've never had more content delivered directly to our homes in our lives, ever! A LOT for free, or a slight cost. Go live in some 3rd world country if you don't like how this is going.

Sattelite having speed is nice, however the latency is terrible. WildBlue already offers 1.5mbit for users, to compete with DSL... and before you all go nut with (I got 20mbit fios in my house stuff), just remember, this is intended for places that don't have cable/dsl. I run several in a small rural city that has a slow as wifi network to offer houses. Latency is the key word here... but once the download starts.. its good to go.. just waiting 5-8 seconds for it to start is frustrating... oh, and Gaming doesn't work on it at all.
