  1. Review - MediaMonkey

    2.2.2 Build 780 RC2 (Aug 14, 2004)

The search function is good, but not as lightning fast as Winamp, and doesn't seem to let me search using an artist name and a song title together in one string. It seems as if I have to choose one or the other. Nice GUI, and the Tempo/Mood/Rating categories are fantastic. Wish there were global hotkeys when window is not active.

  2. Comment - HD DVD Appears to Have Early Edge

    2.2.2 Build 780 RC2 (Oct 12, 2006 - 11:21 AM)

I agree! Can you imagine that once upon a time people were fighting over DVD-R and DVD+R? The non-technical public didn't even have to care because by the time DVD writers became widespread they already had DVD+-R drives. Of course, with Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, they are NOT the same base format, so the same thing will probably not happen.

All these threads always turn in to "I hate M$, Intel, and $ony".

And don't get me started on Blu-Ray being compared to Betamax. Blu-Ray also has support from many companies, just like HD-DVD:
20th Century Fox, Walt Disney, Electronic Arts, Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems, Dell, LG, Samsung, Sharp, Paramount, Warner Bros, MGM, Panasonic, Pioneer, and Hitachi.

  3. Comment - Firefox Usage Passes 15 Percent in US

    2.2.2 Build 780 RC2 (Jul 11, 2006 - 10:45 AM)

I personally don't think there is a good browser out right now. IE sucks in some ways but so does Firefox. I do web developing and there are so many incompatibilities between broswers I am constanly changing my code (especially with dynamic content).
On my personal computer I have all 3 browsers: IE, Firefox, and Opera installed and I finally made the decision a couple days ago to use Opera as my default. However, quite frequently I come across pages that will not work on Opera so I still need to keep my IE and Firefox. I like Opera because it is very quick to launch, fast to navigate, being able to reopen tabs that were just closed by accident, and saving browsing sessions.

Edit: I also forgot to mention that Opera can re-open all your previous tabs and sites when you re-open the program WITH the back and forwards histories too! True even after it crashes.

  4. Comment - MSN Messenger Most Used IM Client

    2.2.2 Build 780 RC2 (Apr 11, 2006 - 8:29 PM)

I personally don't use MSN but I do like how it is not weighed down by ads. (hint, hint.. AIM Triton, the 30 MB ad with bonus IM features)
