  1. Review - FinalBurner FREE

    1.30.0.127 (Apr 23, 2008)

Who cares what the GUI looks like, it works fine and it's free.

  2. Review - JavaRa

    1.04 Beta (Apr 14, 2008)

What in the world, this is pointless and everyone is praising it. Sun's Java ALREADY has an update program, it's in the control panel. You can even set it to update automatically. You can remove the old version from Add Remove programs.

  3. Review - WinZip

    11.2 Build 8094 (Apr 9, 2008)

OMG, is this still around? I remember using this on Windows 3.0 about a million years ago.

GrantTLC: WinRAR released a special free version a while back.

  4. Review - Ad Muncher

    4.72.30295 Beta (Apr 9, 2008)

Works great, I'm using the trial. I have a couple questions though. If I buy this and 5.0 comes out do I have to buy it again, and second I have two PCs in my home on a router. Can I install it on both of them or do they want me to buy two copies?

  5. Review - ZTreeWin

    1.71 (Apr 8, 2008)

I'll never understand why people like this, let alone give $30 for it. It's like the technological equivalent of MS-DOS 5.0, even Windows 2.0 had a better file manager than this. Try visiting the 21st century. You may enjoy it.

  6. Comment - Microsoft CFO to Yahoo: This weekend is deadline for buyout bid

    1.71 (Apr 25, 2008 - 3:05 PM)

I agree. It's just fuel for the fanboys to fight about, and what better site for it than this one.

Anyway this is my last post here. Betanews has turned into nothing but stupid daily flame wars. I don't know what's worse, the fanboys like pitdingo that do nothing but type M$ and bash them constantly, the Microsoft fanboys that bash Sony at every chance, or the just plain arrogant smarta**es like PC_Fool that do nothing but go around being a jerk to everyone.

I'm going to Fileflash from now on. I'll try to avoid the door on the way out. :D

  7. Comment - XP's death sentence may not be commuted

    1.71 (Apr 24, 2008 - 6:25 PM)

Nightmare? Good grief, if you don't want to run XP you don't have to. It's not hurting you one bit for them to keep supporting it. Poor babies, there might be a SP4! The horror!

  8. Comment - Microsoft's 'Live Mesh' aims to become the universal window to the Web

    1.71 (Apr 23, 2008 - 8:16 PM)

Screw MS and their proprietary crap.

  9. Comment - Appeals court lets 'Vista Capable' class action proceed

    1.71 (Apr 23, 2008 - 8:14 PM)

Microsoft is totally guilty here, the Vista Capable/Ready thing was completely ridiculous. They were desperate to sell Vista so they lowered the requirements so that even the crappiest PCs on the market had a "sticker" saying it would run Vista. What the sticker doesn't say is you can only run Vista Basic on the capable computers and it will run like pure crap. I have no doubt they will end up settling, though I hope more lawsuits follow. They've gotten away with their BS long enough.

I agree with the comment below too, the best way to tell Microsoft to DIAF is to run Linux or BSD, or get a Macintosh. With that giant moron Ballmer in charge Microsoft will bury themselves soon enough though.

  10. Comment - Is Vista dead in the water?

    1.71 (Apr 12, 2008 - 11:49 AM)

WTF are you talking about, yes there is going to be another Windows release after Vista and it's being worked on right now. Several early builds have already been reviewed. It's code name is, Windows 7.
