1. Comment - One ABI analyst still sees a future in muni-Wi-Fi

   Nice article......it is good to see the conversation moving back into the true reality of municipal wireless. That is that the municipality whether local, state or federal must be involved facilitating and creating opportunities for the public. More importantly the citizens through its elected officials must maintain input and or control over deployment and pricing policies and operational procedures in order for it to be a true "Muni Wireless" system.
   
   When my company, MRI designed the St. Cloud model that was the intent and the thread that ran through the entire project. That is why today it is heralded as one of the most successful deployments in the US.
   
   Now that we have moved past the crazy and unrealistic phase of expecting private providers to ride in to our cities on a white horse throwing money we can focus on the more realistic process of creating true economic, educational and social opportunities for our citizens with universal access "Muni-Wireless" systems.
