Notice this very important paragraph:
"This fast growth has also equaled increasing market share as NPD says that the Mac is now accounting for about 17 percent of all US PC sales."
It's accounting for about 17 percent of *US* PC sales. How much is it accounting for in world wide sales? I'm willing to bet it's negligible. The US is one of the very few places in the world where, even with an ailing economy, people are stupid enough to buy flashy, over priced products they saw on TV ads or were convinced by friends it's the trendy thing to do. Speaking out against Apple and its products, even when it's the truth, is much like doing the same about Linux, Sony, etc. You have a small group of very vocal fans who will cut you off at the knees for it. This still won't change the following facts:
iMacs are a niche product.
iMacs have never been a threat to the PC market.
iMacs are not a threat to the PC market now and they never will be in the future.
There is healthy competition in the PC market, something that cannot be said about iMacs. Thus Apple will never succeed in taking any serious chunk of the PC segment with their flashy, over priced, proprietary garbage.

"The ps3 still is not outselling the xbox360 yet, only place is in Japan, in the others field MS is still selling more, nice try though."
Don't bother to argue with that kid. He's one of those Sony fans who thinks they can keep wishing and repeating something false over and over again, until it magically becomes reality. Yes, the PS3 is outselling the Xbox360 in Japan and it always will. No surprise there. But worldwide sales are a whole other story. The Xbox360 has been out a year longer than the PS3, yet it STILL outsells it month after month. No amount of repeating the opposite by Sony fans is going to change that.

"You couldn't be more wrong. Apple, like Google is a company that can do no evil."
LOL! You're kidding, right? I sure hope so. Apple is the epitome of evil, but luckily they don't have enough power to exercise their TRUE evilness. You think Microsoft's hold on the OS market is a "monopoly" ? What would happen if Apple had such power, but not only had they a monopoly on the OS but the HARDWARE too?
You Apple fanboys can pretend your s*** don't stink all you want, but there's absolutely nothing special about Apple's OS (it's just Linux under the hood) or their hardware. The only reason people are stupid enough to pay the huge premiums for Apple's hardware is because of their clever marketing and ads that run 24/7 on every TV channel. Yes, Steve Jobs and his cronies did a fine job with those "cool kid" Apple guy vs. "middle aged pinko" PC guy ads, but they're basically flat out lying to you. Apple's hardware is exactly the same as the PC hardware, you're just paying extra for the name and running a special flavor of Linux. That is all.

Why do you need so much upstream bandwidth? Even if you have several people playing, I've never heard of a game that requires anywhere near 384K or above. I find most people who whine and complain about their outbound speed are the guys who download hundreds of gigabytes of pirated material from torrent sites and need a lot of upstream bandwidth to upload hundreds of gigabytes in return to keep their ratios in check.

"why are they charging so much for this?"
Welcome to capitalism. When everyone is already charging an arm and a leg, you bump your speed a little, so you can call your services the fastest available, while at the same time pretending there's competition in your market segment. Normally "competition" works to lower prices, but in America it works in the opposite direction. Not to mention their economy has gone down the toilet and their dollar is worthless, so everyone is trying to grab more of it.
