  1. Review - Google Chrome for Windows

    0.2.149.29 Beta (Sep 13, 2008)

Excellent work for first beta! And this is no spyware/malware etc. Browser itself based on open source projects WebKit, Javascript V8 and some mozilla parts.

Pretty stable, works perfect with almost any website, passed ACID2 test, fastest JavaScript engine ever - so your PHP, AJAX, DHTML will get a big BOOOST!

    Enjoy it!

  2. Review - Eusing Free Registry Cleaner

    1.8 (Jul 2, 2008)

    Too basic and unstable.

Does not work well with Vista too. Hope it will be addressed in future versions.

    No support too....

  3. Review - Miranda IM

    0.8.0 Test 5 (Dec 18, 2007)

its OK program but Pidgin is far better.

  4. Review - Microsoft Windows Live OneCare

    2.0.2500.14 Beta (Dec 18, 2007)

Very slow and cannot reach anywhere close to ZoneAlarm or at least LavaSoft's AdAware 2007.

Firewall function looks nice but totally corrupt default Vista firewall's settings. Many programs such as Torrent, download manager cannot work with OneCare installed.

Anyway this program has potential and with some extra effort can be good addon for windows. But guys make it free!

  5. Comment - YouTube bans terrorist training videos, Lieberman bows

    2.0.2500.14 Beta (Sep 13, 2008 - 3:44 PM)

I think its stupid. First - how about "declared" democracy principals such as freedom of speech?

Second - how do you measure it? What is terrorist video? Showing guns? Fights? According to this - 99% Hollywood films MUST BE banned!

    Third.

Real islamists will use now Skype, P2P and so on and its become REALLY difficult to track it. So, say thanks to old a** Lieberman, and his "work" for terrorism.

  6. Comment - Google's Chrome is gaining users, especially in the wee hours

    2.0.2500.14 Beta (Sep 5, 2008 - 12:57 PM)

For google could be natural to implement some "indexing" of you PRIVATE PC data as well :) Think about!

There is the MARKET for advertisements embedded INTO BROWSER not website. Smart move for google and bad news for all of us....

  7. Comment - Time may be running out for a 64-bit Vista-based ZoneAlarm

    2.0.2500.14 Beta (Aug 27, 2008 - 1:33 PM)

    Maybe you'll start begging for MSDOS64? :)

XP is dead obsolete system. Because of delayed upgrades on customer side, Microsoft decided to extend life of XP for another year. And for the same reason Vista has 32 bit edition.

  8. Comment - Is BlackBerry Bold really having iPhone 3G-like issues?

    2.0.2500.14 Beta (Aug 22, 2008 - 3:57 PM)

The comparison test is inappropriate in this case. The architecture behind RIM is MUCH different from straightforward iPhone's - download and show. RIM is basically server based "proxy" between your phone and internet/email/whatever. So, this layer creates additional delays obviously.

But all of these does not make RIM less attractive, IMHO

  9. Comment - US Internet speeds still slow compared to the rest of the world

    2.0.2500.14 Beta (Aug 18, 2008 - 1:01 PM)

In Russia MOST of the territory is rural or better say extreme wild. But government manage to install satellite/fiber and provide connection wherever its needed. Especially focused on remote learning, tele-medicine, conferences, voip and so on.

    Shame on you americans!
