  1. Review - TuneUp Utilities 2010

    9.0.2010.11 (Nov 14, 2009)

ballyhairs instead looking for startup manager directly through tuneup, look in the subfolder all functions.
the booster is funny, it basically only turns of services they you do not need or require, yes i did run it, problem is everything it said it would disable i've already disabled through services.msc, it does add another service to your machine. however unlike the other poster who said his got 5, i only seem to have 3
tuneup defrag, tuneup theme and tuneup utilities service. and i only have theme enabled.
I would also say this is a minor upgrade over the 2009 edition. not worth the price, but i guess its major if it only works on windows 7 and the 2009 doesnt. Hence the misely 3 rating.

  2. Review - K-Lite Codec Pack Full

    4.9.0 (Jun 12, 2009)

The best codec pack for xp, maybe not for vista as some may have problems.
as for DRM Convert, dont waste your time clicking his link, will take you to a webpage where you wil have to PAY $35 to use it, where as K-lite is FREE,
and then it doesnt do all of what he says, The dvd ripper converter is another program, so that would be another $35.
Klite Codec pack, freeware, plays every avi i have ever downloaded.

  3. Review - Dustbin

    1.436 (Sep 19, 2008)

would have given it lower number but cant, it doesn't give you any clue as to what it has found for you to delete. So it may delete a file you actually require or you want to keep, which would be useful to know when its deleting around 10mb+ worth of data,
file is compressed with LZEXE, hence the small size.

  4. Review - ServiceTweaker

    1.0 Beta (Jun 23, 2008)

does what is says, ok, well this utility is alot quicker to use then going through the service.msc, where u have to right click and then select your choice, with this is select and click your done. the screen is compact, none of the text that tells you what the service does, could be a bad thing, but if your using blackvipers service page then u dont need to know. now if they where to add a predefined list, a 4 aka default, safe, barebones and tweaked, setting as it were using blackvipers page where you change to the setting you want to use and it would do all those in that page, then i would give it a 5, some people dont know they can change the services or where to find it.

  5. Review - JavaRa

    1.04 Beta (Apr 15, 2008)

Does what is says on the Tin, perfect. SunJava should include a removal tool to uninstall before installing the new, but they dont, great little program. I was looking in my add/remove folder the other day and seeing the other java's there thinking can i uninstall the old or do they need to still be install as the latest was updated, as in does the latest require them installed, if i uninstall them will it still work. Thanks to the authoer of this, 5 stars
