  1. Review - Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus

    Beta (Nov 18, 2009)

Expires in Oct next year. Excellent news so that I do not waste a year, any year.

  2. Review - FreeCommander

    2009.02a (Nov 16, 2009)

Grabbed the zip and it still will not recognize a flash when it is running & you plug it in. You MUST close and reopen it still. It has NO ability to browse the PC, as in all drives in one window. It locked up the pc & I had to kill it and I was even using it. MuCommander's crossplatform SINGLE jar file works better than this. Necromancer under Console2 or by itself, is very powerful but has a dos gui which restricts naming.
The auto refresh is on by default. My pc does not run explorer and it DOES NOT UPDATE

  3. Review - µTorrent for Windows

    2.0 Build 17273 Beta (Nov 13, 2009)

The .torrent protocol is just a peer-peer file-sharing language (& as such is it just ONE way of communication) and is freely available. It is found in software, hardware, & has been made to work on every platform. It has numerous clients or gui's which accomplish various implementations, some of which are open source. EVERY player in the IT industry is using it and .torrent files account for the MAJOR portion of all traffic (or used to). I don't blame ludvig one bit for cashing out. But I'm sure if he had held out longer he could have made much more.
Besides it's not the pc I'm worried about, it's who I may, or may not be, directly connected to which ultimately carries the risk.
If I was you I'd be more worried about that itunes crap u have running in the background

  4. Review - Bill2's Process Manager

    3.4.0.0 (Nov 12, 2009)

GUI works perfect so far and I'm not even using the auto option. Only bug is the confirm on close option. I have unchecked them all & it asks anyway.
Tray icon animation is a moot point under sharpe shell. As long as I have one & it opens with a single click (though a choice for the static icon would be ever so nice, it's tiny and should imo be simpler and more colorful). Mercì I tried to use reshacker to change the icon but I may need more practice-lol
Can not seem to get it to be a taskmgr.exe replacement but processx can still do that job for now. Nice update & lower on resources than processx. Better than ALL the rest.
En réalité, une option unique et utile.
    10+
The kill at idle works perfect! (5s) for a sheduled portable clamwin update bat file under jit.
    Magnifique!

  5. Review - Microsoft SyncToy

    2.1 (Nov 11, 2009)

Synctoy is OK. I just don't like the junk it leaves in the folders you are trying to backup as well as the backups themselves. Try synkron. It's portable and has a very powerful gui which is also a one-click or scheduled option. It was on fileforum but was removed.

  6. Comment - Yahoo Music Joins iTunes in Japan

    2.1 (Aug 22, 2005 - 4:21 PM)

what a joke. a single song is less than worthless & so is jumping on the ipod/itunes band wagon. ipod's are special in that they are overpriced & underfeatured

  7. Comment - Mozilla Seeking Thunderbird Testers

    2.1 (Aug 22, 2005 - 4:18 PM)

I use deer park (firefox nightly) & ONLY use tbird with gmail as my one & only email account. I would no more use outlook (deleted) than I would pay for an xp pro disc. Tbird has never failed me for any reason & is very easy to setup. Anyone who argues over which email client to use needs to get a life and quit playing with their cell phone. I can't stand email but it is a required item in the modern world.
