  1. Review - Magic Speed

    3.0 (Nov 3, 2009)

They didn't put anything here about this being Magic Speed Demo -- the real one costs nearly $30. Nothing here that can't be done with free software.

  2. Review - VSO Image Resizer

    3.0.0.101 (Oct 29, 2009)

I don't think this version is free. Crashed when I dragged an image to the shortcut.

If you are infected by a virus that is blocking your internet connection then you can't update this prog. and are only as up-to-date as the program's virus definitions for that particular version or the last time they updated them on their download site. Otherwise, it seems like a relatively through scanning program.

  5. Review - 7-Zip (32-bit)

    9.07 Beta (Oct 22, 2009)

I had trouble with the program when trying to extract a small program I had previously archived program using encryption ... it would freeze or go into some internal looping after prompting for the password. This was after opening the compressed file and trying to drag-and-drop the contents to my desktop and then being prompted for a password ... doesn't seem to support drag-and-drop on a password encrypted contents. Otherwise I like 7-Zip because of its simplicity and ease of use without creating a humongous program. Also, I like that I can drag-and-drop and what I am dragging drops exactly where I wanted it.
