    Google's browser toolbar has a pop-up blocker.

  2. Review - Microsoft Windows Search for Windows XP / Server 2003

    3.0 (Oct 24, 2006)

if one uses more than one outlook profile and needs to bounce between them. wds is the only desktop search that handles this properly. with "all" the other deesktop search programs one has to manually end task on outlook.exe to switch profiles.

  3. Review - GreatNews

    1.0 Beta Build 374 (Sep 30, 2006)

hycris, respectfully, what are you talking about? let us know when lenovo starts selling their computers for 1/8th their current price. price isn't determined by one's income with the exception of the economic law of "supply and demand". piracy can be distinguished with "asp" models. i don't see any comments on here discriminating chinese nor any other cultures.

  4. Review - Microsoft ActiveSync

    4.5 Beta 2 (Sep 19, 2006)

the something new is that it seems to be able to synch wirelessly again. i think the last version that did this was v3.8. since we have to rate, giving it a 5 due to the re-ad of wireless synching. otherwise don't know, haven't used the product. haven't used my ipaq since went blackberry and ibm x41 tablet...

  6. Comment - Microsoft misses a perfect opportunity for Windows 7 and multitouch

    2.0.0.127 (Oct 22, 2009 - 2:26 PM)

Kinda looks like the author did much homework on this. Multi-touch products are on the market for Pc's. Check out http://touch.wacom.com. Lenovo has a really nice ThinkPad X200 Tablet with Multi-Touch Screen. I'm using the non Mutli-Touch version. ELO TouchSystems also has a variety of different options in many sizes.

Agreed on the missed opportunity. I'm thinking it's calculated. Not wanting to overshadow Windows 7 as a whole with a feature that good be seen as a gimmick. Tablets didn't take off like Microsoft had thought. They're more cautious on it for now.

  7. Comment - Office 2010, SharePoint public betas for November, VS 2010 Beta 2 Wednesday

    2.0.0.127 (Oct 20, 2009 - 4:03 AM)

I'm a person who wants to use Windows Server, A/D, IIS, SQL Server, Sharepoint Server. Just as everyone else has choices. I have all of their competitors to choose from. i choose Microsoft and their platform. It works really well now and i'm looking forward to the newer versions releasing soon.

  8. Comment - Google calls Gmail outage 'minor issue', but thousands beg to differ

Odd how you make a point on these services being free then how they aren't. As predicted and stated earlier, hypocrite.

That is until Google Wave is released.

  10. Comment - Google calls Gmail outage 'minor issue', but thousands beg to differ

"Users" have every right to complain when a service they use and rely on goes down. Please explain your reasoning on why they shouldn't be able to. Google "promotes", "targets" and "markets" GMail to business'. This separates them from other typical "free" services and puts them into a "non-payed for" services category.

Punches in the mouth, kicks to the nads, being spit upon, being stung by bees (note plural), being bit by a poisonous snake, being bit by a dog are also not free. One pays from the pain, the medical treatments, insurance deductibles, time off from work, gas money for the treatments, possible bus fares for the treatments, embarrassment etc.

If you disagree to these points. Hold still and don't complain while each of those effected punch you in the mouth, kicks you in the nads, spit in your face, sting you with a swarm of bees (note plural), bite you with a poisonous snake, bite you with a dog with rabies. Now remember, no complaining.

Oh and by the way. I say this nicely: you're a hypocrite for complaining about them. At least they had a reason do to a lack of service they use.
