  2. Review - Windows Media Player for Windows XP (32-bit)

    11.0.5358.4827 Beta (May 22, 2006)

Hmm maybe i missed it on here, but just to let you know you need SP2 installed to install this. I didn't have this at work and so i couldn't install it however it runs like a dream at home :D

With this and all the cool live tools windows really has been spoilt lately.

  3. Review - Freebox Jukebox

    1.6.99 Beta (Mar 8, 2006)

I fixed the UI with some professionally designed skins from FINK! media. Also the memory usage is down slightly and it's a fair bit quicker now. Any issues pop over to our forum and let me know.

  4. Review - MSN Messenger for Windows

    7.5.0324 (Feb 4, 2006)

Strange i tried to update via the normal MSN Messenger page and that is still 7.5.0322 Anyway i personally feel this is the best IM client going, you could use trillian et al but people i know who are using thoose are always getting it crash out. This just works and thats all that matters.

  5. Review - Freebox Jukebox

Sorry about that, it was an accident and my colleague took it down unaware that it was linked here as we now have a newer version out. I will update the beta news listing later howerver the link is now fixed.

P.S. I never did get a mail about this?

  6. Comment - Microsoft Admits WGA Phones Home

    1.6.73 Beta (Jun 9, 2006 - 5:04 AM)

Good old corporate edition from my last job is working sweet as nut :)

What some of you guys are talking about sounds like paladium, remebr when that was supposed to be coming in vista? I wonder if it still is? From what i remeber it can remove blacklisted files of your machine automatically with no intevention from the user.

  7. Comment - Microsoft Announces IE7+ for Vista

    1.6.73 Beta (May 31, 2006 - 10:44 AM)

That is probably the funniest thing i have heard on here for ages...

  8. Comment - Windows Sidebar Gallery Launches

    1.6.73 Beta (May 31, 2006 - 10:24 AM)

The problem is applications and always will be. If you can't get the applications you need to work on a specific O/S you will not use it plain and simple. If no new O/S2 aplications are in development the O/S might as well pack up and go home.

  9. Comment - Windows Live Messenger Goes Public

    1.6.73 Beta (May 10, 2006 - 11:56 AM)

I prefered the older beta look where you could do stuff with each contact from the contact list via icons. They seemed to go back to a more 7.5 look in then end although it has changed again slightly in this latest beta it is still more 7.5 than the earlier betas.

Still it's a good app and i will stick with it.

  10. Comment - Apple Ups Pressure on OS X Hackers

    1.6.73 Beta (Feb 20, 2006 - 4:52 AM)

At the end of the day apple has to have a decent margin on it's hardware to make money, it can't s*** the volumes of machines dell s***s to be able to do it at thoose prices and make any realy money. So low volume means higher prices, this also means it has to retain that model and thus not release OSX to anyone to install on their own budget machine. If they did and the likes of dell were offing it as an os choice where would that leave apple?

At the end of the day if you want to run OSX get an apple, if you don't stick with a PC. To be honest OSX holds no interest for me and i threw out my old G3 ages ago.
