4.0.223.9 Beta (Oct 25, 2009)
Chrome has come a long way in a short time. I am currently running chrome 4.0.223.9 with adblock plus 1.1.9.9. With adblock and the speed of chrome it can't be beat.
2.0.174.0 Beta (Apr 17, 2009)
This is a simple really fast browser. You know have the option to turn off the phone home function so there really isn't that much to gripe about unless you are a plugin junkie. Also no themes yet, so if you don't like the way it looks then don't waste your time. I really like Chrome myself and it is my primary browser and the browser I wrote this review with.
4.70 (Dec 13, 2008)
Works fine on Vista, despite previous reviews. As for trackpads on laptops not working, when did logitech start making trackpads? Anyway DeNovo Edge and MX Revolution here and Setpoint 4.70 works great. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 and 4.70 is much quicker than previous releases.
3.1.2 (Sep 29, 2008)
I have not liked Safari on Windows to date. With that said if you get Safari and add to that the Webkit beta from http://www.webkit.org this is actually a pretty good browser. The webkit beta makes Safari render pages as well as Firefox. It is very quick too. I'm still stuck with dialup out here in the sticks and this is by far the fastest browser I've used with the webkit beta. All in all it is a very good browser that should be looked at again.
2.6.800 Beta (Sep 4, 2008)
Vista is not Windows? Hmmm... my copy says Windows Vista, it even says it was made by Microsoft, don't they make Windows too? Hey but I'm sure that you know what you're saying ryu you must be sooooooooooooo smart. What an e-tard. I am currently running FDM on Vista Ultimate x64. Works fine here.
2.6.800 Beta (Dec 13, 2008 - 10:00 AM)
hey horsecharles seeing you in here a lot. You really shouldn't talk so much though. It shows that you have no brain capacity. As for the article, I like the idea, but much like some other people in this forum have said I don't think this should be free, but I do think that the broadband market in rural areas is disgraceful at best. I live in a rural market, and have had "broadband by satellite" this is a joke. If you ask me the FCC should take a look at how Hughesnet, Wildblue, and other satellite internet providers do business. $300 upfront. The installer didn't even know how to use Vista. No surprise that he didn't install the dish right. I call Hughesnet only to find that they charge another $200 just to come look at the dish. Why would I want to give another $200 when I just gave $300? That is the only highspeed option where I live. With that said I don't think cable or DSL will ever come this far. I fully expect wireless broadband to be the future (e.g. cellphone tethering). Maybe the new networks will provide better signals?
2.6.800 Beta (Sep 8, 2007 - 10:30 AM)
Uh how is the Xbox360 looking so good isn't the Wii stomping it too?
2.6.800 Beta (Jun 13, 2007 - 9:50 AM)
Just get Gamefly + Netflix. That's what I did.
2.6.800 Beta (Jun 8, 2007 - 1:13 AM)
It has already been stated that those games would not be ported by the respective developers, and just because it was created on a pc doesn't mean it's easily ported. There is still that sticky thing called different code for different machines. You make it sound really easy, but how many games have you created for any console? Do you even know how? Don't trivialize something that is very hard to do.
2.6.800 Beta (Jun 8, 2007 - 1:00 AM)
I honestly like the PS3 and hate to see it failing. Even I will admit Sony as a company is at best a little s***y and I am by no means a fanboy. I have had the 360 and I currently have a PS3 and in my opinion the PS3 is more fun to play. I love the sixaxis. Before you say it, this is NOT the same as the Wii mote. The Wii mote is a dumbed down version of Sixaxis. Besides the whole Wii phenomenon is gimmicky and quite childish. The 360 want to be a media center pc too bad for my tastes. Those of you who doubt PS3 just haven't given it a chance because it's "Sony". Don't hate the product just because of the company. Besides Microsoft's track record isn't squeeky clean. Nintendo will never shed the justt for kids image. *Ahem* Still no adult games *Ahem*
