  1. Comment - Why I chose Windows 7 over Snow Leopard (and you should, too)

    (Sep 22, 2009 - 3:04 AM)

What kind of crap is this article?
There is no fundamental info why W 7 is better than Os X.
No referential, no comparison just an opinion based on, yes on what actually?
Snow Leaopard had no intention to give new features or a new UI.
It was from the beginning a code rewrite and cleanup of old code. A prepare for the future.
It never intended to be a W7 killer.
Read the ars technica article on the subject, so you understand why this is definitely not a bug release.
It is all about the road ahead.

Please give me some figures, Ho heavy is W7?
How does it perform on a heavy application load and a full app. list?
Where are your benchmarks to prove your 30 to 40 % speed improvements?
Wat makkes you do your work so much faster? ....

If you make an article please make it informative not just some publicity talk.
I would like to learn something here, not to waste my time.

You did install the 64 bit version, how about apps? Drivers? what does W7 do with 32 bit apps...

This is all important info not found in your article, so this makes your article totally incomplete and a bunch of crap (read Microsoft commercial)

  2. Comment - Intel denies new iMac has new 'Montevina' platform

    (May 1, 2008 - 7:07 AM)

Why is it you folks always have to s**t on mac? Even if what you say is full of b******t!!! Apple also has a great assembly plant in Korck Ireland. Has been assembling here for years. All stuff made in China is under high supervision on working conditions. Ever since the Nike affair.
Have you ever taken a close look inside your on PC?
How much of that stuff is made in china?
Do you know in what conditions it was made? Are they also under close supervision??

  3. Comment - EU Court: Microsoft Abused Power

    (Sep 18, 2007 - 1:48 PM)

The big difference between Ms and Apple soft is:
Apple sells its Os X and iTunes is totally removable, so in no way part of the Os (quicktime is actually the core engine for iTunes.)
The same thing counts for Safari.
You can and may install any browser or music software as your default.
Even in iLife you do have the possibility not to install iTunes.
    So they are separate things.
I do get the impression that a lot of you guys take any opportunity to s*** on Apple without even the proper knowledge of its software and hardware.

The new hardware that Apple provides does allow you to install linux or MS-os'es. The only reason you need bootcamp is to be able to choose witch os you do want to boot.
Even in the good old days it was possible to install linux on a PPC from Apple.
The only thing you can not (officially do,) is install Os X on a non Apple hardware. (This is part of the Os specs.)
This means they limit there own software sales (to boost there hardware)
This is contradictory to what MS does.
Force to sell software on every hardware buyer where there is no free choice on what is installed and remains on that hardware (non OS programmes like IE and MP) on everybody who need to use windows.

Do yo still need proof of misuse of power?
Try to buy a new PC with Windows XP on it. (resellers risk there licenses if they sell XP with new PC's) Where is your freedom of choice ?
Another big difference is that Apple is a hardware seller that writes its one software for that hardware. To my knowledge that is still very legit.
MS sells software that should be used on hardware they do not own nor developed. So they do not own the right to decide what resides on that hardware. Enforcing to do so just because you are the biggest, in that way that people feel they have no choice is abuse of power. At least to my opinion.

  4. Comment - 'Day One' for Safari for Windows Becomes Zero-Day Nightmare

    (Jun 14, 2007 - 3:31 PM)

What all you guys seem to forget is that the browser was launched on the WW Developers conference. So It was not a general public announcement. It was an announcement towards all developers.

    Second:
Safari still can be developed to be secure from day one.
As "day one" will be the release to the general public as a Finished product. Past Beta stage.
I'm not a developer, but knowing Apple I can imagine that it will do all things possible to make it secure, and a lot of things are already most likely available within the source-code.

As far as major security errors concerned.
Any OS should make it impossible to invade the system.

I' live in Belgium, one of the great disasters we had was the sinking of the "Herald of free enterprise". (a roll on - roll off boat) with lots of dead people.

Someone left the front door open when sealing to the open sea. Sea-water got in to the cargo-room and the ship capsized within 15 minutes.

As for responsibility the company was held responsible for the following reasons: the ship design was insecure (no extra security-doors and the lack of security alarms etc....

The open door only made it happened. But was not the main security-issue .

Windows is here the bad design with no security alarms present.
An open door can stay open. nobody will notice.
Not even when all the sea-water comes in.
Apple only left the door open (temporarily).

So, give the guys some credit.
Let them fix the issues, give them feedback.
    Lookout for future beta releases.
If Apple is not able to evolve towards their promises, shout out.
Than they are really to blame.
At least they deserve the time to make this the great windows browser all you guys deserve.
