   Review - Mozilla Firefox Portable Edition

   3.1 Beta 3 (Mar 18, 2009)

   I like the apps from portableaps.com and I think they allow users to try out betas easier than overwriting the local stable copy. I could not notice a huge speed increase with this beta, but I guess it seemed slightly snappier. I am hopeful Firefox can hit a homerun with this release and keep theor steady market share gains intact.

   Roughly 9% of web users have disabled 3rd party cookies: http://www.statowl.com/t...arty_cookie_support.php
   
   This prevents usage tracking by 3rd parties such as Google. Additionally, for users who prefer to use Google as their preferred search engine, 10% of them have disabled 3rd party cookies.
   
   I am neither for or against 3rd party tracking, but it is interesting to see people's reaction and what they do as a result.
