  1. Review - Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client

    2.0 Beta 1 (Aug 3, 2007)

Quick download. The appearance has changed to a Vista theme, which is not all that appealing on a mac. Did a remote test to server 2k3 ent. ed. and tried a couple of the "new" features. The on-the-fly window resize just stretched the window but didn't refresh the resolution. I shouldn't expect it to but that would've been cool.

If you have the old 1.- version there really is no need to use this unless you are connecting to vista or something.

  2. Review - PlayStation Portable (PSP) Firmware

    3.30 (Apr 18, 2007)

I agree with a lot of people on not using the PSP updates because they disable and lock out homebrew applications. I decided to search the Sony PSP forums to see what people are saying about these issues and have found some forums that have Open Editions of the firmwares. Surprisingly, they are still able to run HBs and downgrade their versions. I'm amazed that sony didn't shut out those threads. Just check them out because I'm going to try using these Open Edition firmwares to run my HBs.

  3. Review - ClamAV

    0.90.2-2 (Apr 18, 2007)

Although ClamAV doesn't provide real-time protection for the computer like other free AV programs out there, it is not that bad for a freeware program. I do like that I can install it portably on my usb drive using Portible Apps Suite, update it and then use it on a computer that may be infected if I cannot download a program such as AVGFree.

  4. Review - Bart's PE Builder

    3.1.8a Beta (Jan 11, 2006)

BartPE has always been a great program. Of course not when they started off, but the software has matured a lot! I use it for unlocking PCs using the ERD commander pluggin with virus scanner and network support. It's great! There are many more features of the program that can be integrated from other developers, I would recommend this program to any computer administrator who responds to daily customer problems!

  5. Review - Maxthon (Classic) Standard

    1.5.2.21 (Dec 28, 2005)

I have to admit, this program is pretty cool. I tried to stay clear of IE and stuff like Maxthon and MyIE and used firefox. I love firefox but the memory thing is sometimes too much, but the plug-ins make up for it.

For this program I give it a five because of it's embedded features, most notably the Ad blockers. Pages load faster because the bandwidth isn't hogged loading ad scripts. Very nice. Tabbed browsing and utilites bar are a nice plus as well. Try it and see how you like it!

  6. Comment - PMP hunters: On the lookout for a new 'Zune HD'

    1.5.2.21 (Apr 13, 2009 - 12:32 PM)

Hey Tim, about that zune website: Engadget has already updated their post about the ZuneHD website being a fake. Check it out on http://www.engadget.com/...may-mean-nothing-at-all/. Zunited is also backing this up at http://zunited.net/index.php/topic,8640.0.html. Hope this info helps.

  7. Comment - AnyDVD claims it defeats protection on latest BD+ discs

    1.5.2.21 (Dec 31, 2008 - 8:43 AM)

So I'm that last paragraph was SMF saying that new and current users will be moved to a subscription based service or just new users? The only reason I bought the program was because of the lifetime updates and to help support the cause.

  9. Comment - A big week for the iPhone-as-game-console

    1.5.2.21 (Dec 19, 2008 - 11:46 AM)

The iControlPad has been in the works for a while but I haven't heard anything since around june. They got it working on jailbroken iphones with emulator apps. it would be cool if someone would make such a device soon so game makers can support it in their games.

  10. Comment - iPhone gets firmware 2.2 update

    1.5.2.21 (Nov 24, 2008 - 2:23 PM)

Mobispine's MMS app seems very promising and is starting to be considered with some carriers overseas. right now it's being reviewed by AT&T and Apple for use in the states. I'm trying to get people to encourage AT&T to use this software for iPhone users in the states.

If you agree that we should have this function please most your comment at http://forums.wireless.a...ple&thread.id=63108.
