  1. Review - Opera for Windows

    9.51 Build 10074 RC1 (Jun 26, 2008)

Back button navigation problems persist i.e. on some web pages you can't go back to the previous page with a mouse click. Opera 9.5 seems to still be in beta if not alpha which is too bad because there is a lot to recommend this browser otherwise.

  2. Review - Microsoft Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin

    1.0.0.8 (Apr 17, 2007)

Holy cow!! It works. I hope that there is no downside.

  3. Review - Opera for Windows

    Build 8758 Beta (Mar 26, 2007)

I like Opera and everything but I wish that they would take a year off to work on bugs e.g. broken pages and so forth. They always seem to put the cart before the horse in the sense that features seem to take precedence over things working correctly. I suppose in the world of software a developer has to keep innovating to stay afloat.

  4. Review - RoboForm

    6.8.8 (Feb 19, 2007)

this version allows the user to "opt out" of RF popping up in Firefox which had been occuring since version 6.8.6 I believe even when the mozilla adapter option was unchecked during the installation. For my own reasons I did not want Roboform as my password manager in FF and now I am able to have that. RF is a must have for IE and FF if you choose to have that.

  5. Review - Google Toolbar for Firefox

    3.0.2006.1204W Beta (Dec 25, 2006)

The last time I had the Google Toolbar for Firefox, clicking on an e-mail link would utilize my google mail rather than my desktop mail client and there did not seem to be a way to change this. Is this still true?? I had to get rid of the Google Toolbar for this reason.

  6. Comment - Opera releases version 9.5

    3.0.2006.1204W Beta (Jun 14, 2008 - 8:18 PM)

Much agreed. I recognize your name from when I used to frequent the Opera Forums in the past. I always hope that the bugs will be dealt with but there are always a couple of deal breakers (some pages failing to fully load and other odd behaviors e.g. yahoo mail and so forth) and I go back to firefox. Once again I give up.

  7. Comment - Mozilla Revenue Grows from Searches

    3.0.2006.1204W Beta (Jan 3, 2007 - 4:43 PM)

Non-profit does not mean that the organization does not make a profit. I work at a non-profit hospital and all money made goes back to providing services at some point. There are no specific persons or share holders that take home a chunk of the earnings.

  8. Comment - Zune Has Too Many Issues to Compete

    3.0.2006.1204W Beta (Dec 8, 2006 - 8:11 PM)

Agreed!! I like mine also and here is why.
"Zune also seemed to perform better in producing bass then the iPod. I've noticed in the iPod that using the equalizer to produce better bass, in many tracks -- especially electronic -- distorts the response. The Zune seemed to handle this far better. I was very impressed with the overall audio quality of the Zune."

  9. Comment - Zune Sales Lagging Behind iPod, Others

    3.0.2006.1204W Beta (Nov 28, 2006 - 2:33 PM)

Hint: When installing and using the Zune and Zune software, do not use the front USB ports on your PC. I ran into all sorts of problems when doing so and later had no difficulty when using a rear USB port. Personally I find the Zune musical and easy to use despite what many say.

  10. Comment - Mozilla Launches Firefox 2.0 Browser

    3.0.2006.1204W Beta (Oct 23, 2006 - 1:22 PM)

Betanews seems to be able to get the scoop. When it comes to FF announcements from this site, they are accurate. The build number is the same as RC3 which is not surprising. This is news on the Mozillazine Forums as well.
