    yes, end of Mail Notifier as freeware. Till 1.1 version, no one knew that it would be a paid program. People helped the developer as for ideas but finally they got hands empty.

    Time to look for something esle.

    Winamp 5.x supports modern skins. If you have an old machine, loading may take some time but if you select classic skin, it loads very fast.
    As you said I put winamp 5.x plugins into 2.9x plugin diractory but got some conflicts. I don't suggest this usage.

    ogman, who needs an interface? Important thing is the time takes from writing down the search words to see the results. Google Deskbar does this.

    I installed fresh Windows XP(SP1 integrated) and updated to SP2.
    Installed:
    Office XP, Photoshop, 3D softwares, many little usaful tools... Everything worked fine.

    I think microsoft firewall only affects internet based applications(as far as I know), which need open in/out ports. Other than this I don't think SP2 will cause problems.

    IE is the most unsecure browser. You cannot see the link where you are downloading from. You cannot go back/forward fast. It's slow. Also Opera has some problems, like it doesn't support 100% IE browsers and eats much memory. Despide all these Opera is mostly better then IE.
