    Maybe this mess should highlight to Microsoft (and other software devs) that having a well publicised product roadmap (see Intel's) is a good thing.

    Did you look at the recommendations on the site?

    Also the weekly charts are a much better guage of what's new and decent, rather than the manufactured pop that the 'offical' charts are full of.

    Does that mean people (other than MS) can now work to change it?
    i.e. remove the crud, that relies on old legacy office apps, and the massive chunks of random binary blobs?

    Nor has BD+ been deployed on any disc so far, so AACS on both formats has been bypassed.

    It's also not certian if the current players can cope with it, it might come along at the same time as the BDJ (interactive stuff) compatibility.

    and the 'massive market' lead is all smoke and mirrors, neither format has enough momentum to be declared winner.
