   I need to chime in here. I am a computer hardware tech. I've been working in the field for 20 years, mostly in hospitals and colleges.
   I know my way around windows and all it's versions. This software is the very best out there. I have used it on hundreds of pcs and it has never let me down. PC's that I would have rebuilt entirely to get back original performance, I have been able to achieve the same perfomance leves just by running this software.
   For those of you who have rated this poorly all I have to say is, thank you. without you I wouldn't be in business. You know just enough to be dangerous!

   Agreed. All Symantec software is a Virus, as far as I'm concerned.

   I have used PeerGuardian for about 2 years now. My downloads are definately faster. I have absolutely no reduction in bandwidth and I have never been blocked from viewing any website. This program is a must for any serious p2p.

   This is the best freeware Anti-spyware that I have ever come across. And take a little advice from a professional that has been at this longer than you can count; Stay Away from anything with the name "SYMANTEC" on it.

   I have never experienced this. Running XPSP2 or SP3 and Firefox 3.5 is the slowest combination. It takes a full 3 seconds to launch Firefox no matter what I do. In Windows 7 ever since the Beta and now the final it launches in less than a second, explain that. I maintain over 1500 pcs here, so it's not just a small sample.

   I'm a hardware tech at a college and I repair both macs and dells. The perfect computer would be OS X on a Dell. You get the best of both worlds, reliable hardware and the best OS.

    Didn't you know that IE is a huge magnet for Adware and Spyware. I've proved it over and over. Firefox just doesn't pick up even a fraction of what IE does. That's why we banned the use of IE in our institution.
