7.54u1 (Dec 14, 2004)
For those of you wondering whats new in this release (7.54 u1) it is a security fix update. Refer to http://www.opera.com/sup...supsearch.dml?index=782 for more details.
Anyway, Opera is definately a 5 star product and has been my browser of choice for a few years now. Highly recommended.
3.1.7 (Mar 25, 2004)
Excellent program, does it exactly what it claims and the results are of very high quality. In response to utomo, DVD shrink already has the ability to rip as original you just need to switch off the compression in the application. Definately a 5 star app.
2.0 pre4 (Mar 25, 2004)
Very unstable on every Windows system I have tried it on. Seems to have lots of problems with handling Windows fonts. Wouldn't even load until I had deleted the font file PROFONT.FON from my system and even after this constantly crashes in use with font related errors.
After checking on the Gimp for Windows group on Yahoo groups it seems quite a few people are having the same problems.
Shame really, after hearing so many good things I really wanted to try this.

I love the smell of browser war in the morning!
Anyway, lets add some fuel to the flames:

Seems Firefox leads the way for browser vulnerabilities for the first six months of 2006.

It does create an uninstaller. It's listed as 'Windows Internet Explorer 7' on my system, which caught me out for a while as I was expecting it to be listed under 'Microsoft Internet Explorer 7'.
