It works really well except for the loads of resources it needs for all of its prettyness. The skins are great since they can totally change the way the player looks. The visuals look great, but I'd like more 3D visuals than the WildTangent ones; WinAmp has kick-ass 3D visuals.
On the other hand... Do you really spend all your time looking at your player in your fave skin, or do you minimize the player and do other things. Maybe pretty skins aren't that big of a deal...

I think this may come down to actual personnel shared between the two companies.
Recall that Silicon Graphics helped Nintendo develop the graphics systems for the Nintendo 64. Sometime between then and the Gamecube, some people splintered off to form ArtX, who developed the Gamecube's graphics processor. Before the Gamecube's release, ArtX was bought by ATi. ArtX's Gamecube graphics processor was the basis for the original Radeon.

Disney should definitely be on their way up now that they've ousted Eisner. The improved relationships with Apple/Pixar are the first signs of that.

I think, if anyone, the people they'll go after are the people listed as uploaders of the original torrent, much like the RIAA mainly went after people who were sharing their files on past P2P networks.

I'm sure most people could tell that the SonicBlue/Nike relationship had pretty much ended, but I never really thought that Nike would want to continue with MP3 players. The Rio offerings looked good enough. I'm surprised to see them hook up with Philips, whose MP3 players have been pretty much sub-par.

I really want an MP3-CD player, but I'm turned off by their size. My Rio is 1/3 the size of my Philips CD player, and it's much more portable because of this. I only bring my CD player with me when I don't have to lug it around (ie on car trips). Maybe this mini-CD player will be just the right thing I need. But the cost per blank disc is still more than full size discs...but much less than flash memory.
