OSX is Unix.
Mac essentially turned there OS into a GUI for Unix/Linux.
The hardware they use is the same (high end) PC products (PC does not mean Microsoft).
User experience is defined by mac people as simply how comfortable they are on a computer. IMO, this is like a bald short guy getting a Jaguar, Hummer, Ferrari because he has a short mans complex. I have seen many noobs to Mac using windows xp in emulation. If it is so good, why would anyone do that???
With that said: If I were filming a movie, I would get a mac for Shake or Final Cut Pro. I have heard that it is better for Adobe/Macromedia suites, but I have used Flash on a PC without problems.
91% of 8.7% still isn't much, but I am glad they are in business.

Supposing 150K per song were fair, How much of it would go to the artist? What is their "protection" of the artist? is this it?
RIAA is not good for the artist.

So nice to read an article hear on BN that contains good information in a well put together article. The governments and companies haphazard approach to security (and that is any government, most companies) has put all of us at risk.
Its too bad we don't have lawyers that are also Tech geeks. "Idiocracy" is the future. OW! My Balls! is they future of television.
We all need to act to change this mindset in congress. Perhaps a big IT group with a few lobbyists is the right answer. If you can't beat them, join them.

You can fight it by not buying their product. It will only take a year or two to let them know we won't put up with their crap. Unfortunately, there are too many people that want to be entertained. :-(
Stop going to the movies, buy used dvd/cds/games or trade (the physical ones not mp3's) with friends what you already have. stop using iTunes, and all the other online music outlets, go camping instead of to the movies, make your own music. learn to play a guitar, not guitar hero.

They have a better interface for UAC. it has 4 settings and slide up to control more and down for less. I have it set at the 3rd setting and it barely notifies me. Vista only seems to have a on/off setting for UAC or you can control some of its behavior through registry settings on Home and local security policy on business and ultimate. Still, the UAC on 7 is hands down better.
