    What really pisses me off about this whole thing, is that i actually BOUGHT a legal copy of windows XP pro, and MS will not let me activate it. Over the pase 6 months i have owned like 4 different computers all with different components (laptops that i was unhappy with), and i went over their limit for activating a new computer. So now they will not let me activate it even if i call them on the phone. This pisses me off heavily as i must either reinstall XP or pirate a copy of software i already own.

    what is a person to do eh?

    What if you own a copy of say 2 fast 2 furious on dvd, (i.e. you bought it at best buy), but want to also download a copy to watch on your computer as well on the road. Technically this isnt illegal is it. But obviously they do not know you own a copy and can monitor you and subpoena you for this. Boy i would LOVE for them to send me a subpoena for something, because i know my friends would be MORE THAN HAPPY to donate their cd's/movies to me just to prove them wrong. (not that i advocate downloading copyrighted material.. ahem)

    i get copies of windows for 10 dollars ( full version) from my campus bookstore. limit 1 each year. that keeps me WELL updated on versions every year. i like the compatability of windows. i use a mac at work, but i find anything but windows produces a hassle of compatability i do not want to deal with.

    i actually saw one of these in action at at a microsoft conference. the cool thing about hte screen is that it can double as a pass through lcd monitor with touch screen also. so your 800-1000 is going to a multi purpose piece of equipment.

    overall a really cool idea. would i buy one? probably not... would i steal one, probably yes..lol

    that company is pretty damn shady.. why cant they just leave people alone and stop trying to monopolize the industry and badger small companies for money, etc..
