It’s been almost a year since we made FeedDemon, NetNewsWire and NewsGator Inbox free, and it has been very gratifying to gain so many new customers. But as you can imagine, we continue to look for ways to generate revenue from our software............One of the ideas, of course, was to include advertising in our applications, but that idea never sit well with us. As I’ve written before, I’ve seen too many cases where advertising led to compromising customers’ privacy, and that wasn’t a path any of us wanted to ever go down.............The Deck is focused on ads for creative web professionals, and they’re picky about the ads they accept. Just as important, the ads can be embedded in our applications without sharing any customer data.
.......Every single ad is tastefully done, and since they’re static images, there’s no flashy animation trying to get your attention.
2.9.4.1433 Beta (Nov 12, 2008)
I found it plays VOB files flawlessly. Drag, drop and play. Skipping forward or backward in a VOB file is so smooth, no pauses or jitters. 5 stars!!!

Creative Zen Vision:M which at one time was Creative's most popular MP3 player, does not play AAC, and this product is only 2-3 years old! Sorry some of us aren't spoiled brats and can't buy new audio/video player each year.

2.9.3.1431 Beta (Jul 6, 2008)
Plays any file I throw at it, but some videos have pixellation or off coloring. One video froze up on me. I will stick with Zoom Player for now. KM player is a promising program though.
2.9.3.1431 Beta (Oct 23, 2007 - 12:21 PM)
Sony must be sad today. Another format of theirs slowly dying. Remember MiniDisc? The only people with Blu-ray players in the US, most likely own a PS3.
2.9.3.1431 Beta (Oct 11, 2007 - 1:15 PM)
I have used both Tivo(6 years) and Comcasts DVR(2 months). Comcast's DVR is free(Tivo HD costs 299). Comcast's monthly fee is way lower. The only plus I see with Tivo is that it offers more information on an episode, and updates the schedule more frequently. The latest firmware upgrades on the Motorola DVR have fixed most, if not all, lockup issues. Tivo also requires a phone or network connection(which requires a router that many people don't have). If you have an older Tivo model from last year or before, you cannot watch TV at the same time you are in the menus, like you can on the Motorola. The Motorola DVR also uses the digital subchannels for the local or basic channels, removing the need to convert the signal to digital, like Tivo does, which can result in loss of quality.
2.9.3.1431 Beta (Sep 4, 2007 - 10:34 AM)
I am the next one to cancel. Getting the Comcast DVR with Dual Tuner(I don't plan on buying the Tivo dual tuner, as it requires 2 digital boxes, which is another $3 fee added on for the second digital box, or the $300 HD Tivo.). Some shows I like to watch come on at the same time, and the Comcast DVR will allow me to record both at the same time now. Plus its 4 dollars cheaper a month. I will sorely miss the Tivo guide, as it provides so much detailed information about each episode, but now I will have an extra 80GBs in my PC. I also like that the Comcast DVR puts live TV in a little box in the upper right hand corner, while you are scheduling other programs. Tivo, you have been a reliable friend for 7 years, but your time has passed, and the future is on to other things.
2.9.3.1431 Beta (Jun 13, 2007 - 3:16 PM)
The XXX industry has embraced HD-DVD, just like they did with VHS over Betamax. We all know what happened to Betamax.
2.9.3.1431 Beta (Mar 8, 2007 - 9:39 AM)
I decided to try this Unbox with Tivo. I downloaded one of my favorite Friends episodes for free, since I received the 15 dollar deal. The quality is DVD, or as close as it can be, and the sound quality is great. Took about 10-15 minutes to download the 23 minute episode.
