This is all just a small "trick" to get people ready for a complete Microsoft laptop. Well, it will probably be more like a Tablet PC, yet similar in features and GUI to "Surface".
In other words, I know Microsoft's strategies even before they do!

While it's good that this "horse race" is continuing on, it's unfortunately sad that I myself, who has been diligently researching and studying, and coming up with completely new ideas, concepts, innovations, designs, and schematics which will truly open the door for operating in the optical domain, and the logic and technology will be a catalyst for the technology that will solve the world's energy problems; have yet to "convince" or "persuade" any investors to invest in my business, or "convince" or "persuade" the U.S. Government to award me grants so I can further research and develop this new kind of logic and technology.
Basically, it's similar to ternary logic, but also a little different. It is indeed based on 3-way gates, but rather than individual 3-way gates, the gates are combined in 3s. So the way the logic works, there are 27 possible combinations with just three 3-way gates, and the next step would be nine 3-way gates, which would literally allow a total of 7,625,597,484,987 possible combinations. That's more than 7.6 trillion possible combinations with just nine 3-way gates! I've also partially completed implementation of the numbering system (code) into the existing Unicode table, and I've mostly completed the rules and standards for IPv9, appropriately called because it's based on a nonary numbering system. Although IPv6 has yet to be fully implemented, it has been suggested that the unallocated (128 bit) addresses would be completely exhausted by May of 2011. Because of this, and because of the rapid increase of internet usage, it is necessary to begin thinking about a whole new kind of network addressing scheme, routing table, and protocol layer.
I could go on and on. The point is, I've been trying to "convince" or "persuade" someone on this earth to help me, because I'm doing all this work without capital, and with any help or support from anyone other than my mother (who graciously provides shelter and food) and close family and friends, who continue to inspire, encourage, and motivate me.
I NEED HELP!
There has to be someone or a group of someones on this earth who are willing to invest in the future of information technology.
Crossing the Petaflop milestone is nice, but there's so much more we (all humanity) could be doing if we were to unite our Gifts and talents and be working toward common goals, rather than competing with each other.
Whoever wins this "horse race", congrats to them! However, I may be the last one to finish, but the first shall be last, and the last shall be first!

And? Who cares? Of course the Gates Foundation does. Think about it. Microsoft has generated billions in profit over the last few decades. The money has to be given out somehow, otherwise Microsoft would have been shut down.
The problem is, as I mentioned above, the things the Gates Foundation donates money to are of course focused on promoting and advertising Microsoft products.
And why is it the Gates Foundation will not donate to any cause that is faith based? If you mention GOD in the cause, the Gates Foundation will not help you!
A true philanthropist would understand that faith is all we humans have in this world, and a true philanthropist would not be trying to promote and market his business's products and services from his donations.
You too, check your facts before you start kissing Bill Gates' a**!

Just because he gives away tons of money doesn't mean he's giving away tons of money for the right reasons, or for true humanitarian efforts.
Of course the Gates Foundation donates money to help schools become more technologically advanced. But guess what operating systems are being used in the schools? Windows! Duh!
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize Bill Gates isn't truly a philanthropist as he claims to be. If he were, he would have already directed a lot of that massive donation the Gates Foundation got from Warren Buffett last year (like some $25 billion) to OLPC.
Sure, the laptops are running a scaled down version of Fedora with the Sugar interface, but still, the cause itself is a good humanitarian cause. All children should be able to benefit from the advances in technology, not just the children of upper and middle class parents.
Check your facts before you start kissing Bill Gates' a**!

Funny, I wonder why Microsoft is still using the El Torito Boot Sector for booting Vista from the Disc, and using a variant of CD Shell for the boot-time GUI. If you examine the hex code, you can clearly see this. Even the directory structure proves it. Hello? What's the Boot subdirectory for? Where did it come from? Microsoft has never had such a directory structure with any other operating systems.
How can Microsoft claim Open-Source violates 235 patents when Microsoft is using Open-Source code in it's software? God only knows how much Open Source code they've really used, but as I said, it can't be denied or disputed that Microsoft has at least implemented a small portion of Open Source Code into Vista. As I said, they are still using the El Torito Boot sector, which was developed by a joint effort between IBM and Phoenix Technologies, and they are still using a variant of ISOLINUX, developed by H. Peter Anvin. Because the El Torito Bootable CD ROM specification is an extension to the ISO 9660 CD ROM specification, it is used by almost every company that develops operating systems. ISOLINUX is open source code without a shadow of a doubt.
If you don't believe me, do your research!
Microsoft, you just provided your own rope and have hung yourself. You stupid, arrogant, greedy, corrupt company!
