  1. Review - Norton 360

    3.0.0.61 Beta 1 (Jan 15, 2009)

Unlike the Symantec programs from the past, this one's a keeper!!. It installs quickly, only takes 7% of my resources and keeps my PC perky. Optimizes when needed, the whole nine yards.....

Only the ney sayers from yesteryear could not like this one

  2. Review - Norton Internet Security

    2009 (16.0.0.69) Beta (Jul 16, 2008)

First of all, the description is for NIS2009 and not 2006.
For all the neysayers out there. "Try this" download. Norton have come a long way since the CPU drag from 2002. This software completely installs in under ONE MINUTE!
A really sweet piece of software..

  3. Review - Norton AntiBot (32-bit)

    1.0.2 Beta (Jun 7, 2007)

Finally a program that does not lag your system. No need to run any special scans either like SpyBot and AdWare. Way to go Symantec!

  4. Review - Norton AntiVirus

    2007 Beta (14.2.0.18) (Jan 5, 2007)

What's with all the ney sayers? Just because it cost $20 to renew subscriptions, at least you know it works and you can trust the name Symantec. The 2006/2007 editions have never been better. You honestly think corporations trust AVG and other freebies over Symantec? Get real!
When you want real safe protection? Go with the best. You get what you pay for, and when it comes to security it is worth the bucks....

  5. Review - Norton 360

    1.0 Build 127 Beta (Nov 23, 2006)

Having actually tried Norton 360 I have to say it is one of the easiest programs to use. The computer geek won't be impressed because all the safety runs in the background.
The ability to backup online? How many others offer that. I was able to do a live chat within 2 minutes for help so those that post about poor customer service should try it before complaining or writing about it. This is a major improvement and also fits nicely with Vista....
This is the program you'll want installed for Grandma's computer.

  6. Comment - Symantec goes live with Norton 2010 betas

    1.0 Build 127 Beta (Jul 11, 2009 - 12:29 AM)

The ones that complain the most are still using horror stories from years past. They are loosing out if they don't give this software a fair trial. It completely installs and uninstalls in less then a minute. Bloat! Hardly. CPU usage? 4%...I've used Norton products since the soft floppies and have NEVER contracted a virus. I can't tell you the number of attacks over the years but Norton caught them in time...

  7. Comment - 'iTunes weTax,' says New York State

    1.0 Build 127 Beta (Dec 21, 2008 - 6:33 PM)

At least the music industry is no longer pursuing people who share music. This makes it even more tempting.
NYS is already the land of taxes! Now tax on music downloads? Oh and we now are going to get an 18% tax on Pepsi/coke. Our blind gov thinks we're all too fat and we must therefore pay for it!!

  8. Comment - Beta Test Symantec's 2008 Products

    1.0 Build 127 Beta (Jul 8, 2007 - 8:33 PM)

They also listened to the BETA testers. The best way to better a product and to see it contain things you would like is to join the team

  9. Comment - Symantec Releases Norton 360

    1.0 Build 127 Beta (Feb 28, 2007 - 10:57 AM)

As normal, those who do all the b****ing, never gave the product an install. Go get a 30 day trial and then do your b****ing. This is an excellent program. It runs silently in the background providing everything from defrag to ad blocking, to antispam for email, to antiphishing protection, to on and on. You will start hearing some good things soon from those that "actually" tried it..
Oh by the way, it does take up 4% of my resources (not a bad trade off)

  10. Comment - Microsoft Restricts Vista Transfers

    1.0 Build 127 Beta (Oct 18, 2006 - 6:03 AM)

This is nothing more than greed on the part of MS. It is enough of a hassle everytime you change something in your computer and need to call India for permission to activate. Now they want you to go out and buy another license. If that is NOT greed, then please explain to me further.....
